you can can a couple of hours worth of rollback, and that’s IF you never saved the game but continued playing throughout the campaign and then server crashed. claiming you lost a week of gameplay is such bullshit that it’s actually hilarious.

Yes, all my chars are online. Alts that i was playing during weekend crashes just lost like half and hour of progress, probably just unsaved stuff rather than rollback.

Critics are just people who get paid for user reviews, generally under the (usually false) assumption they know more than other consumers ever could. Take a look at the world on Sommeliers, when actually tested in an experiment on their ability to “know wine”, it becomes clear they cant tell the difference between good shit and thunderbird.
Which is fine, taste is subjective, and there is no objectively best product out there. Its why companies that make pasta sauce started making multiple varieties of pasta sauce. Research showed what people want depends on the individual, and you sell more with multiple varieties than you making one “ultimate, best possible” sauce.

4.5 more than this shit currently deserves. Blizzard is dead and they are hellbound on taking D2 down with them.

I don’t like posting in online comunity sites but the recent events triggerd me in a negative way.
The sheep mentality on this forum prob from maximum 17 years old kids that don’t know how a server work and don’t know how online gaming works and making countless usless post on the forum whit blaming and game not working.
No wonder they don’t give a proper answer because they are provind quality based of the consumer.
As i grew up whit this game and most of you were not born at that time , guees what ,the game had more serios problems then than now , and we didn’t complaint this much for every second the game didn’t work.
You need to grow up a little and realise your not special and your just a number and if you want to be treated whit respect you got to show respect.
Blaming, flaming, acusing does nothing.
Go outside or play something else.

It seems that you overrate your age way too much. I’m not going to say i’m older, as I do not know, but when D1 came out I was already an adult… D2 never had such bad server outages in such a hort time period. Also the most I read about the complaints is about the zero communication from Blizzard and its officials.

You are prob browsing the wrong forums then. Also in the year 2000 in my place i had dial up conexion , broad band was avaible in restricted internet cafee. And the servers had way more issues.
back then blizzard had maybe 50k $ in their name so no wonder they did have problems also back then IT wasn’t evolved as much as today. So most of your points are not valid. Please think before making such a long post with useless information since it’s based on things that are not comparable or true in any way.
They one 100% did a better at lunch back then with the manpower and tools are they had.
Back then they didn’t even have ANY idea how many would actually play the game, today they can estimate it with statistics based on previous releases.

Down to 2.9 now … it hurts to see that the lack of competence / communication from Blizzard / Activision destroys the reputation of a quite good game.
