So for NICE WORDS - they just confirmed on tech support that weekend rollbacks are definitive. Lost progress/items are permanent. Ppl lost lvl80+ characters and all farmed stuff is gone. With nothing but “hey, its deleted, yo”.

Cube and in game progress lost after latest rollback

Hey everyone, Unfortunately, character progression (levels and/or items) lost following a rollback cannot be restored. We know that it’s always very frustrating, and our developers are working on on the root cause to make sure that this doesn’t happen again in the future. For the Horadric Cube, it can be obtained again in the Halls of the Dead in Act II by killing a monster called Bloodwitch the Wild.
