Same issue. Twice now. Seems to be related with the bug where your character stays in a session after you save & quit.

Same here just played with my brother for 2hrs lv.13 killed Andariel and got dc’d then char back at lv.1 for both of us

similar, got disconnected Lvl 8 necro poofed, replaced with lvl 1 necro, that now also poofed. It’s not a supprise that Blizzard manage to screw up literally everything of late, but it is disappointing, after a relatively painless beta.

Ok my character restored but my brothers didn’t because he had already accessed the lobby and tried to enter a game with the lv.1 character, so if your progress appears lost DO NOT TRY TO USE THAT CHARACTER and wait to see if it restores. Im not 100% about the lobby but entering a game will definitely overwrite your progress it seems.
yeah, played for 3 hours on switch, got to lvl 14 in cata combs 2, i just went in today and blaam lvl 4
played the whole day on pc and logged off at the beginning from act 5. logged in again and … suprise … my char was rolled back and now im standing at act 2 and lost over 13 levels and all my items.

Levelled to 48 and got mid-way through act 3 NM, in hardcore, and now I’m back to level 39 at the start of Act 2.
This just happened to me, act 3 normal to killing diablo. sigh.
pretty annoying to put in hours and then go to click save and exit just to see everything erased to where i started. was lvl 18 and in the 2nd act start just got almost all the waypoints then assembled the staff and was gonna call it a productive day ending at lvl 21, but it just wen back to where i started at lvl 18. really annoying need a fix for this asap i dont see the point in playing at all if my progress is just going to be erased and it seems like a normal thing im honestly scared to waste my little off time playing a game that cant save. needs a fix now

Getting the same problem here, but what is quite disturbing me, is that I have the same issue with an offline character…
Aren’t they supposed to be saved locally, like on a hard drive or so ?
That’s quite ridiculous from my perspective.

The problem stated here is ONLINE characters. If we had an online character rolled back, should we avoid playing them until we can see if we get lost progress restored?

Another one affected by the loss of progress on a character in ONLINE mode. Please reset the characters to the correct state. It is unfortunate.
I have the same issue. Played with a friend from act 1 to act 5 but today my char was rolled back 6-7 levels with the starting point in act 3. Same happened to my friend…
So it is not an offline issue.
Thank you for fixing this (and hopefully set the chars back to the real progress)

Got it with offline and online Character as well.
Same issue here, not a full rollback though so I may be out of luck. Finished Act 2 yesterday and moved to the next came, saved (lol) and exited, fired up this morning and started the game, back in Act 2 before the boss fight. REALLY annoying.
