Countess tower on hc

i loose my 64 level on hc becouse on solo game i go down on countess tower and instant die after loading screen, before i can doing somthing. No any pull monsters becouse it is solo game, so monster spawning at entrance level 1 and sometimes instant kill people. How its possible to play hc when we have that locations on game?

Its not the location that does that. Its the fact that the game starts playing while you are still in the loading screen, giving you absolutely no time to react. So if you run into something fun like extra fast + extra strong, you will die before you see the screen.

was it offline or online modus?

probably lag if you’re playing online

online game, i know game start before end loading screen, but why monsters spawn on entrance like that, if i have ping 20 and super fast computer, i will still die becouse its no time to react when 3-5 moon clan and 3-5 wraiths waiting for me on down stairs.

i try play safe and all the time i walking with golem and merc, but its not inadequately when they project spawn monsters like that.

Your first mistake was playing HC. There’s a lot of reasons to not play it, even in the original. Mobs waiting for you. Being hit by invisible things. Being hit by things that on screen are miles away from you. Server issues. You could be careful all the time and still lose a character through no fault of your own.

Isn’t it wonderful? And remember we must never change this aspect of the game or it won’t be classic D2 any more.

The loading screen was never a thing in Classic D2, so even if there were mobs direct in the entrance, you could also instantly react and just kill them or move etc.

D2R Added this loading screen but during loading you can actually move your character and the game is just running, making HC unplayable atm.

so far its recommanded to have a maxblock build

I’ve not died from it yet, but have entered some levels within or close to mobs. It seems mobs spawn randomly around the level, and at least for some levels, the entrance is an eligible area for mobs to spawn. Would be nice if they couldnt spawn at entrance, one could avoid any downtime entering or get some clue (sound) before entering that there are mobs on the other side.

Could lower graphic settings possibly reduce load time?

I play skelemancer so hoping mobs will mostly hit my minions until I get control, but sad that you can die just from bad spawn luck.

I’ve seen this many times at countess. Think it may have a bigger chance to happen there than many other places…

I think this is really an issue with summoners because in fact your summons (including merc) seem to begin wondering around the entrance during the load screen, and it is not that the mobs were already at the entrance, it’s just that they were most probably aggro’ed by your companions. :man_shrugging:

easy fix: players are immune to everything and the merc is “hidden” until the player moves/attacks/does SOMETHING

But they dont add this feature. Duriel in HC really stupid, so most parties use a necro to go in first in multiplayer because his summons will fight during loading/lag/whatever

easy fix, remove loadingscreens like they did in beta
