Just an example, now lots of high end items trade for an UM. Um being not even a high end rune and does not drop in the game, is more rare than e.g. The Oculus, or 4 essences to make Token(even Token is traded for an UM). I got an UM only when did forge quest on Hell, no drop otherwise.
2 friends asked me if to buy D2R, one on PS4, one on PC. I told to both to not buy it yet, until it will be fixed. And the reason was not only that htis game has no end-game, but the progress to finish Hell is stupid(I went trough all Nightmare with a sord found on Normal… … stupid feel of progression).
So, sell some of the hell unique stuff for um? Or offer pul+lem for um. Token you can ask for pul, someone will sell. Or you can offer baal essence for pul, or make and sell token for um. Another option to get um is to cube 2 puls. By the way these runes drop from countess sometimes. Also keys obtained from countess easy tradable 2-3 for pul, some people may give even um for a few keys and for complete keyset ist+mal or gul. For statistic got once um even on nightmare difficulty in act 3 flayer dungeon.
I agree that it’s hard sometimes to drop this particular rune itself, but there is a plenty of ways to obtain it in a short period of time.
I know the trade options, managed to get UMs via trading, BUT I am talking about how broken is this game. It is all about finding runes, where MF does not even help. A game where some says Finding Items it is end-game, and actually very very few items matter to find, otherwise all is runes. This is an unbeliavable STUPID GAME. Mna, this game make me change the opinion about Blizzard company, how to remake this? why to remake a stupid game? What Blizzard did with this remake for me is a SCAM !!!
by the way, that MF not counting for finding runes is like this intended by design? or is a bug? I mean, how stupid that devlopers to be to add runes and runewords that change all game and make all other high end items to be garbage and the Magic Find - the end-game of D2, to not count?
MF doesn’t help in rune hunt, and I see nothing wrong with it. You can trade for pgems and keys if you don’t like runes, 10 pgems it’s like a pul now, so you can store your wealth in pgems super easy. And there is a plenty of uniques which has some value, some of them in high runes, for example Griffon’s Eye, Death’s Web, Death’s Fathom, Nightwing’s Veil, Mara’s, SoJ, Bul-Kathos, Arachnid, Eth Titan’s, War Traveler, Verdungo’s (perf would cost really a lot), Crown of Ages, perf Herald of Zakarum, Eschuta’s temper and etc.

I think more than 20, I’ll add to list Windforce, Tal Armor, Tal Amulet, Perf Shako, Andariel’s Visage, Eth Vampire Gaze, Eth Reaper’s, Nice Tomb Reaver with 3S, 5S Runemaster (Espetially Eth) and etc.
“Bugged” means, it has errors in the code and behaves unintentional. For example if it would crash when do you xxx or if they set the drop chance of Um too low by mistake.
Nothing of this is the case, so it is not bugged.
Just for the wording, I think you ask for a rebalance of some drops. Maybe a valid point, maybe not.
But personally I like the fact, that you don’t have everything after a month. The “I want everything and I want it now!!!” mentality of the last years is toxic and destroys good games in my eyes.
Actually I have everything I need. e.g. Not Enigma nor Grief but that ones will never had, already understood that. All others I need I have
I need UMs for s special build for merc, I want make him to kill alone Chaos Sanctuay and Diablo. Need UMs to make it resist magic than is ready to go. this is end-game in Diablo 2 sadly.
