How broken is this game?

i just hoping a ladder with new item and runeword like in 1.10 and new synergy…

Just quit this game already (some time ago you lied that you actually stopped playing) and stop posting your nonsense.

Why discuss the game you not play?

well there are…
Especially in the beginning of the ladder even stupid useless items like shako, occu, tal armor are worth high runes.
But well that dries down within 4 weeks.

After that we still have GG items that will just increase in value: (unfortunately also only if they roll godly)

Griffons
Dweb
Death Fathom
Eth Death Cleaver
Eth Tomb Reaver (3s)

Many other uniques only have big value if they rolled perfectly e.g.
Zaka 200%
50% WT

And then we have of course the real GG items which are not uniques, but rares.
The chance to find those items are probably even smaller than finding a HR though.

Dual leech, omega res, str etc. ring
2+, FCR, Res, stats amu
GG circlets (e.g. 3s 30% FRW, 2/20/2 omega res/stats, 2 sockets)
Quad res boots
etc. etc.

Can you say what Farmroute you do?

It’s not rocket science. You do Travincal, Chaos Sanctuary, Cow level etc. Since my last post here I got a Jah rune, so here is where I got my high runes.

Vex = Chest in Catacombs lvl3
Lo = Chest behind Mephisto
Ohm = Drop from seal guardian in Chaos Sanctuary
Sur = Drop from Travincal Council Member
Jah = Drop from Blood Lord near Halls of Pain waypoint.

Best thing to farm Travincal is a barbarian due to itemfind, best for high mob count areas is whatever kills fastest, so if you’re running cows then probably a lightning fury amazon, if you have an itemfind barb friend with you even better. If you want to try to pop super chests for runes you should play in 3/5/7 player games, the chest behind mephisto is one of these but there are also many around the game (including easy to find ones in Lower Kurast).

Getting runes is largely just a result of playing the game a lot, that’s the only way to overcome luck. A friend of mine had nothing for weeks and then had several high rune drops over 3 days, he made his 2x Grief and Enigma, prior to that he was using IK set.

  1. aRPG games are complex enough to enjoy them in terms of theorycrafting/min-maxing rare builds… this is cool and can be compared with chess(a hard comparation indeed) because starting doing that you start thinking - not your case because you just want to collect items like you said without knowing whta to do with them in a build…
  2. the fact that you did 80 max greater rift in D3 explain very well how noob you are - STOP advising in this kind of game since you are a noob. I did grift 141 solo in D3 I am not from the top players, I am above average let’s say, and did that in non-season with 4500 paragon - very low in non-season - from same reason, not have time to play 12 hours/day.

In Diablo 3 there are players that still play non-season for years. what are you talking about quiting in 1 week? you were quiting becasue you are a noob and you saw you are not capable to do greater rifts, that’s why you quit. We play D3 for years in non-season with almost all items available(so not stopped playing when fond the items, we are not colectors of poststamps like you), we continue playing becasue we enjoyed end-game, min-maxing builds, pushing builds to the limit and test them/becnhmark them in greater rifts…

I know who you are guys, all of you that says: do not change nothing, let the game as is, do not bring end-game, do not bring competition, do not bring leaderboards - you are very big noobs of this games and you quit D3 becasue you do not understand how to play it - exactly like you do not play chess becasue you do not know how to play it. And only reply to you because maybe others(inculding Blizzard) to understand who you are and to understand that not NOOBS shall defined the rules of this games !

You’re an idiot and you can’t read. I was rank 80, that means in the world there are 79 players who did a higher rift than me at that point. Because you can’t read let me clarify I was still ranked on the leaderboard 4-6 months later, in the top 500 players.

The irony of someone talking about “complexity” and trying to come off as competent while being unable to read clear plain English and using terms like “noob”. What are you 14 years old?

You did a GRIFT 141 in non-season and this is something to brag about? All this Ego is based on you not even doing a 150 in non season and with 4500 paragon? I’m sure everyone is very impressed.

Agreed - You should stop posting because you clearly fit the description.

you did grift 80 and stopped, why? this is like finishing Normal difficulty in D2 and stop, then explaining others how good you are at D2…
150 grift with 4500 paragon could be maybe done with extremely BIS items and extremely lot of fishing, but not remember to see someone recently doing that(on non-season), maybe was the case with old builds which were OP and nerfed in the meantime.

so noob, go collect your poststamps in D2.

If it hasn’t died in 20 years in its classic iteration with the same mechanics, why would it now?

No not really. Joined S24 a month after it started and the playerbase was very much active still.

Statements like this don’t really do the commenter any credit. Calling perfectly fine and useful uniques stupid and useless doesn’t make them any less valuable. Time progression does. Everything drops in value over time.

I guess putting that here in bold is supposed to give your statement more value. Good for you on completing 140+ GRs except… no one cares? People are just tired of constant whining about how “drops suck”. And yeah, I personally would rather not have any changes in D2R. I’d prefer to grind once or grind for a different build rather than have my perfectly valid setup decimated by ’ balance updates’ every 3 months. There are other games for that.

I payed Ber + Ohm for my +2 assa +3 LS Claw. And they are blue. not even unique.

Are your drops in the solo game? Because I do exactly these things and have never found a rune higher than Pul.

And my Sorc is now 92 just of solofarming.

because now there are and will be other options to play. 20 years ago was only D2 and very few other options.
Dinosaurs will still play it. now, do not know, if you like to play a game with 1000 players base then ok. I personally like that player base to be big, to have enough public games, to have lot of support… …

Please learn to read English, then go back and re-read my post.

Yeah solo play for 99% of it. I have barbs at 91, 90, 87, 85, and a few other 80-82 ish chars.

you are a very good poststamps colector! grats! now you need barbs from 84 to 1 and you are done!

It appears I have hurt you deeply.

Lol this danutz guy is a clown.

hey kiddo, don’t be pathetic. the fact that you do not understant what is discussed here does not mean is funny, means that you are simply brain-less. but happy for you, beeing brain-less you see clowns everywhere.

It does not make a sense to argue about the game. I don´t see disnos player base enough to make some trades. Even now is quiet difficult to sell some items and what about several months later.
I will probably move to another title if there will not be any changes.

I like this game, but it is not enough without changes.

And where exactly are you pulling the data from? Do you have proof that only 1000 people play it now or will play it a year from now?

It’s a remaster of an old game, not a complete remake. The core mechanics are the same, and chances are they’ll always be the same. It’s an old system, and maybe it’s just not everyone’s cup of tea? I don’t mind change within reason, but maybe it’s better to at least leave old games alone where bug fixes and server tweaks are not concerned? I mean, there are many other games to play as you said if you don’t like D2R.

Well it’s not like not being able to tell a leaderboard position 80 from a Grift rank 80 is any better tbh.

To change it enough to appeal to a large playerbase would mean to remake it from scratch. And this is exactly what they’re doing with Diablo 4. It’s still some time away, but I do think it might be popular once it’s finished, especially if it preserves the darker feel of D2 while combining it with more convenient mechanics.

Diablo 2 is an old game. There is no ‘change’ to it that could be made to make everyone happy. The only change that can be introduced is making people grind every season anew by adding new runewords, but I am not sure if it’s a good thing. I would certainly lose the patience. Increasing drop rates? Possible, but then people will complain that the game has become trivial and that their GG items don’t sell that well. There will always be reasons to complain.
