As many users I have lost my character after so many hours of play, I am trying to contact the support without receiving an answer, only that of some moderator who exposes excuses when it is clear that the game is crashing because there are many users. I’m looking for a solution or money back, we don’t want to risk playing for hundreds of hours and something like this could happen.
I lost a lvl 69 sorc out of no where.
They started off by insinuating that I made a mistake? Then went on saying they wont do anything for characters deleted from bugs wont be restored. This game is honestly a slap in the face and gut as a huge diablo series fan.

I am also missing my Sorc level 68 on Hell. Played 1 hour ago. Now it is missing.

Deleted by fatfinger my controller while creating a new game.
I’m not sad about losing my char. I am sad about blizzards support ticket system is a f***ing joke where you got a stupid auto reply. The deletion problem was also known and reported in the beta and still not worked on.
Why having allocate skills a two second timer but not deleting a character. this should take a programmer like 2 minutes to implement.
My (offline!) sorc is gone too. Played yesterday, today i get the “first start messages” when starting the game (color blind mode ans so on) and then my sorc is gone while my other character is still there.
Please do someting about this!

my chacter Online Barbarian at lvl 43 disappered day after game crashed. In the meantime, I started offline Sorceres, lvl 10. Next day, barbarian was back, sorceres gone, nothing in Offline menu.
After two days, Barbarian disappeared again for good, Offline character was back with it level 10.
So no “You deleted your character”, but something is on your client side. I tried your hint like log in/off, create new character etc. Its not our fault.
Also game crashed several times every hour and very ofter I see “cannot create game”, have to join some already created game, save and exit and then I can create new game by myself.
We recognize that this is an issue for many players, which is why we have been responding and asking you all for more information. This information has been passed onto the appropriate team, so that they may conduct a proper and full investigation.
There is currently no known or verified bug for the moment though.
We will however let you know as soon as we have more information.
my character is also gone… out of the blue. can’t say exactly what I did differently while playing or closing the game. 
Scheduled maintenance as expected did not change a thing, my sorc is still gone.
When do you expect to conduct a proper investigation of this issue, this is getting more and more frustrating? US forums are also full of similar reports.
Why is there no way to roll back player accounts to the last time they had access to the character?

- When the character was lost, and/or when you last played it: last play on 06th Oct at 18UTC, on 07th October the char was gone.
- If you are referring to an Online or Offline character: online
- If you have double checked the Online and Offline tab (the option is in the top right corner of the screen, above the character list): yes
- The class of the character that you’ve lost: Necromancer
- The platform you were playing on (PC or console, and if so which one): PC / EU server
I had an accidental game crash due to a power failure at 3:22:02 AM. Here are some data from the savegames. Before 03:22:00 AM I ended the current game once (approx. 03:06:00 AM), back to the character selection and started a new game session until the power failure.
That means that the information in one of the files (no information which is for what) must have been saved correctly and without errors. Why is the savegame still defective? Does the game automatically overwrite the “safe savegame” with the file currently in use while I was in the game for the second time?
My only offline character, Paladin lvl 15, can no longer be seen in the hero list. Newly created offline heroes can be seen in the list but cannot be played. What kind of stupid mistake is that on the part of the D2R developers that I can’t even play offline with a new hero anymore?
It is possible to create a character for online play and the progress will be saved so far.
Why is no automatic savegame duplicate created when the current game session is ended? So corrupted files are irreversibly damaged? Blizzard, give us a tool to load the offline savegames to fix the file.

I opend a ticket, and i got the reply that there is nothing they can do apart from checking if the wrong region or on/offline tab. Otherwise I was the person to delete the char.
Nothin else from blizzard just “well, shit happens”.

Why even put a " delete " key such a stupid spot?
You force us to close the game every single time we need to swap realms for a trade. so this posistion is kinda odd, put it somewhere else, where people cant hit it, by a mistake.
why cant you revive a deleted character? we are living in 2021 lol.
