Offline character gone after pc crashed

I was just playing my sorc and the power went out, as it came back i logged in to see my character is gone, i tried making another character and the shared stash items are there but my character is gone, however when i try and make a new character with that name, it says that a character already exists with that name.

Please advice, it sucks if i lose this character i had a lot of stuff on her playing since launch.

I have tried removing the saved game and replacing it again but it doesnt help.

Offline character gone

Hi there, The character appears saved in the save folder but in game it does not appear in the offline section of the game, every other character is there except the one that I usually play. Also everyting that I had in the shared stashs are gone. This happened after an update on the blizzard app poped up, after the update when i launched diablo2 it asked for all the setting like it was for the first time I launched the game. Please need help cause I invested a lot of time in that character.…

If the save file is in the correct folder, but the character is not showing, then it can sadly mean, that the save file is corrupted. We are not aware of any way of fixing this.

Would recommend getting a free backup tool and scheduling savegame backups for the time of day you’re least likely to be playing; this has helped me alot over the years with different games.
