Please don’t change the drop rate on Diablo 2, it keeps the character base unique. MF grinding for items is what makes the game unique. Each act and boss has different drop rates for different items and keeps a multi-style game play. This is where Diablo 3 has been axed as all it is based on adventure mode grinding and "uniques flood the ground after each kill and are no longer “uniques”. While having a better drop rate might be fun on an individual level, it destroys the economy as a whole. If the drop rate is high or low each player is on an even level of game mechanics. The balance of Diablo 2 has been nearly perfected over the years, just like Starcraft 2. Lets keep it that way…

I thought runes were too common so far to be honest. I have so many (playing SP though).

From the rumors i have heard i think they have changed the drop rate a little bit on the runes… A tad bit is ok but i dont think they should mess with game mechanics in general.
They need to focus on the lobby GUI, allow players to filter games by level cap, quest, cow runs… etc…
The 20 year old lobby GUI has got to go. I know a lot of blizzard devs scout the forums once in a while so we need to be persistent on pushing this.
I haven’t played online once yet so cannot comment on the lobbies.
I’ve definitely noticed a lot of changes from playing SP though. It feels like there’s different AI in some places, and the rune rates are insane when I play with my necro but not so much with the soso. Could just be rng but I’m not so sure if it’s a bug or something.
Agreed. I think I’ve gotten at least 16-20 so far & I’m only in act 3 normal. Granted all the runes I’ve got were the useless ones.

Haha I don’t think they’re useless. There’s always something you can do with them. But I did see a video once detailing how many el runes you’d need to cube to a zod or something. It was enough to know it would never happen :d

I have an suggeswtion:
For every thing someone doesnt want to be changed he must name something he want to change or add.
Some people seem to just want to prevent any progression.
If blizzard thinks something should be changed then the hell they should do it and dont only listen to the hardcore people. there are other players who want to play the game and dont have much time, not just you.
They game was like this over 20 years and thats enough time, now a new era has begun.

No, is not balanced. The drop rate is crazy low. I am in ACt 4 Nighmare and still use items from Normal, even the weapon is from Normal Baal drop. This is not normal and not OK at all !!!
Does not matter, boots are coming, the game will be ruined in few months…

I think they upped the drop rates a little bit for runes but that’s ok, it was nearly impossible to farm enigma for yourself before

This game has no loot, seriously. Just killed Diablo on Nightmare and still using a sword from Normal Ball drop. Diablo dropped trash.
The low chance of valuable loot falling is one of the main advantages of this game, which is why people have been playing it for so long, it should never be changed.

Do not understaqnd not finding items is fun… I expect to farm a lot for late game items, but items that you get in Normal and Nightmare anyway you will drop in Hell at a momnet, so not getting upgrades drop in Nightmare is just stupid.
Recent problems - a game dont start only when lvl max. Leveling isnt only a tutorial, is part of the game already.
You look at this only from one side, negative, but there is also a second side, the less often valuable items fall out, the more joy they bring.
What happens if you eat a holiday meal every day? It will cease to be festive, you will quickly get tired of it.
The system of falling out in this game has been tested for many years, this game has a cult status, among other things, because of this.

You need to farm the game to get items. Get a grip. You can’t just walk from normal to hell and hope to have good gear. I’m running countess like 30 times just to get the runes for insight before I even go past A1 nm etc. It’s part of the fun. Drop rates are too high if anything as I’m already overflowing with stuff.

Nightmare has excellent drop - Talrash, Oculus, Titan’s… a lot of good rares are dropping in NM as well. Also in NM you usually upgrade to Lore and Spirit…
D2 has quite good drop rates.

Man… c’mon not everyone have 14 hour a day to play the game, if u want to brag about something just bring ur character to lvl 99 faster than other and let every one who bought the game enjoy it with the time they have. Drop Rate increase will only make game fun and playable for all.
