Dumbass, as if I’ve been grinding every day for 20 years. Learn to read. Dumb troll.
Sorry if this has already been posted, but there are so many posts here to read, but somebody made a great tool for simulating drops for all the bosses and it really helps to visualize the drop probability. you can run it for the quest version of all the bosses in hell and you will see most of the time you don’t get much.
Apparently I can’t post links, but you can put this together by removing the spaces

Just tried, definetly broken
, useless
Those low level items has a higher ilvl than those who drops in normal, means nothing but they are there to flesh out the loot table. How fun would it be to farm and get nothing colorful at all on the screen for 100+ games? Removing these items would do nothing because the loot for really good items would not increase.
Great will be to introduce filter for items. I think that Dbrunski already mention this in his video. I would like to filter off Blue and yellow items, because these are 95% total trash. Also rune filter could be good.
So you’ll never feel the joy that comes from beating uber tristam self-found.
The fun thing is no loot-grinder is different from that. Just because they present you random maps with endless scaling and calling it “endgame” does not change what you are doing. Grinding gear to reach a higher difficulty to grind more gear to reach a higher difficulty to grind more gear…
D2 has an end. And that’s what’s good about it. Once your best character is done you start another build you never played before. Once you become rich enough you try out fancy builds which noone knows if they will work or not.
There are numerous possibilities of what you can do. In D3/PoE they are much more limited, but they present you a shiny red line which you can follow as they wish. Most players prefer that, so most modern games work like that.
So D2 is obviously not a game for you. But that does not mean the game has to change.
I think there is something going on, honestly.
I went through normal and nightmare mode, the loot seemed pretty consistent. I had no magic find items leveling up. I’d get mostly rubbish but occasionally something nice would drop, a unique, a decent yellow, you know.
Then, on hell, I killed Andariel first time and she dropped absolutely no items. I thought they were supposed to drop something? Like… anything…? The first time kill rewards per difficulty, too right? She’s supposed to drop that? Just… nothing seemed weird. I have previously never seen that. Ever.
Since then, I find one yellow maybe per hour. I’ve done loads of pit runs and 99/100 of them are just white items with the one odd blue here or there, after everything has been killed.
Is that how it’s ALWAYS been? I certainly don’t remember that.
I have also found 9 Eth runes in a row since yesterday.
Something definitely feels broken about it. Unless I’m really being that unlucky. If I am then… I don’t even know if I want to play it anymore. I wouldn’t want to stay in a casino if I’d been on a losing streak that lasted an entire week, that’s for sure. And that’s pretty much what Diablo is once you get through the game the first time. A casino. Except you gamble with your time, and you get nothing back. Oof.
Probably lazy editing of loot tables to make players slower in reaching the endgame or BiS.
It’s somehow sad with all those runewords anyway though.
In 1.09 you had to pay lots of currency to have sort of good items because they were really rare. With HR you are just pushing some ED and IAS but nothing significant.
what says yor games log file in yor dokumets, is a warning in it?
My hell quest Andy (which is always quest bugged) dropped 1 magic item. Does it surprise you? If yes, you probably didn’t play D2 much…
Are you done with shitposting for today?
Man, you really have to work sweat shop hours for that poor salary.
Sorry, China hired me to post on this forum, so you, my “tinfoil hat” friend, can’t stop me
RNG or not, it’s still a bad mechanic. Why should normal items be dropping in hell at all? If you want to farm for normal items, farm in normal.
Higher level items should be dropping in hell and it’s that simple. That’s a change I can get behind and one that makes more sense for D2 than ploot does.
here is a Bug in drops, i am a old player, and i smell that! change charakter it works when the Bug comes, you have it alltime wenn you play again withe same charakter, nigtmare can bugget to! but the gamlog says me everitim a Warning: 1:54:42.141 WARNING: Invalid index in ITEMSRecalculateSetItemSpecificMods. See :0
thats the ticket!
well said, it’s funny how he reacted to his bad rolls
Nothing is bugged. On Hell A1 Catacombs Level 4, a fallen just dropped a unique Shako for me.
I’ve spent a lot of time in D3; and I’m sorry but he’s right (not you, the guy you answer to). After 2 or 3 days in D3 you have all the gear you need (what you miss is either given by Kalada either cubed to exchange the set item for another).
Sure, you are not top numbers everywhere…but you have absolutely all the gear necessary to play the build.
Where you are right, is they are only a few viable builds and for these, the builds in D3 are very important.
But as I said once to a friend, having the regular stuff and 1,000 parangons or having very good rolls with high parangons is exactly the same thing. It’s just number. You do GR140 instead of GR120.
In D2, one different thing also is the random class items you get. That’s really great because it encourages you to play another class/build.
It’s totally different games. D3 is absolutely not about farming stuff, it’s about farming exp/parangon. D3 could be “build of the shelf and ready to play” it would be the same. There is even no need (anymore) to finish the campaign to start the adventure and the rifts. My friends in D3 found boring the gearing part of D3, all they wanted to do was pushing GR. They did not even understand the mechanics and so on, they just follow a youtubeur’s build and clic like he says.
D2 is all about the gear and the farming. If you have everything week 1, week 2 the game is dead. The game nevers dies because you are looking for your unicorn.
Acutally i started farming trash mobs and boss groups if im looking forward to get unique drops.
When i was farming a monarch (zero mf of course) i farmed all the act 1 side dungeons with sometimes 2 unique drops killing only one mob group.
While andy, phisty etc. Only dropping trash so far
Sorry, I really do not have 10 years for farming those keys… 100 Countess runs, several Sumoner runs and few of that one in Act 5 and 0 /Zero /NADA keys, so?
In the meantime, LostArk is aroound the corner, POE2 and even Diablo 4 might be released , I will not still farm those keys and not enjoy those games.
We have heard this already from you several times. But what is keeping you on this forum then? The mere fact that some people can enjoy something that you do not know how to enjoy?
