well that is not acceptable anymore… we paid for a playable game - together not beeing a number in a queue…
I wait 1 hour and still have the same position. Where is the link to the complaint
this is really sick idea you have, friend. Blizzard should not kick anybody! game crashes each hour so that is how you move in queue
sa devient gonflant leurs files d’attente dire qu’on as payé 40 euros pour sa c’est du foutage de gueule
Hey lads,
As D2R is a single paid game and has no subscription Bliz should have decided that online people count will go down rapidly after a couple weeks after launch. And I assume it did not go as expected since we still have 1h+ queue waiting times. I do not think they are going to resolve this issue maybe unless we, players, press hard. They got their sum of money already, why should they? Currently I have paid for a game to watch the queue screen for hours. For players who have limited time to play, a simple crash can end your gaming night. I don’t know how you feel but it looks to me as one of the biggest gaming industry scams.
I strongly believe in this as well. just made a post about it.
its essentially just that… they got our money and now they are off with it.
never imagined that this company would become such scam artists.
How can I refund this shit, this game is a joke
I guess so as well.
Tons of people preordered D2R blindly despite the red signals above Blizzard’s head, confirming them they may continue (and even reinforce) their pitiful marketing strategy despite doing s**t.
People (including myself) should have waited several weeks/(months ?) the game to be stable, just because a functioning beta doesn’t mean a functioning release. No need to blame their company because their business model grant them enough incomes without being forced to do better.
Well if you read the Blue Post they put up about these issues they claim that a “sudden surge of players” happened in the weekend this all started.
This pretty much shows that they did not have the server capacity to start with to handle the game, probably from pressure from ActiBlizz to further control loss of money, but what is worse is that they blame the players for “making too many games” …
A game about grinding thats been out for 20 years, where you have to make a new game to grind every time you want an enemy to reset and they didn’t expect that ?
I’ve literally played only offline from launch because I knew way before launch that online would especially be a disaster. How did I know? Because the launch of damn near every online game from damn near every company is a disaster. Does that mean they should be given a pass without anyone complaining? Hell no, please give them shit, maybe someday these companies will actually stop being lazy and cheap about how they prepare for launches. Though I doubt it lol.
wtf when u try to join something and the name was wrong i need to wait 30 sec!!
That sucks really hard
Once people are in, they stay in. Even if not playing right then. Game won’t kick you and you can stay logged in forever even with D2R running in the background while you play other games.
And I wonder how many of them are running 24/7 bots, hogging YOUR place in the server.
Hey Blizzard, my company recently laid off a software engineer for total incompetence. Would you like me to send his CV on? He’d fit well in your development team.
Give me ONE example of a game or company where the servers were crashing constantly and the solution was not a fix, but to add a login queue that basically keeps most players out of playing the game online.
This is a new level of incompetence.
The game is not finished
Beta was too short they never got the time to fix the server nor do they think through about the bot spam you get now in the lobby.
While in beta it was already clear that servers had issues.
Games apear and dissapear very fast.
Losing minions when they are stuck and you stray to far away.
Teleporting enemies.
Minions starts to attack an enemy when they are not even close.
Lobby feels unfinished.
The excuse modern players is a lie and weak people are playing like this for more then 10 years.
I dont care about a little queue. FIX THE GAME COOLDOWNS. i write a game name wrong: COOLDOWN. Game doesnt exist: COOLDOWN. Baalrun finished: COOLDOWN. And it doesnt even say cooldown. Im done with this game and Company.
Really surprised to find these issues still happening and they haven’t come out with a more permanent fix right now as opposed to queues…
Path of Exile did not implement a queue, it was already there, but they did confirm giving streamers privileges which included skipping the queue. That was patch 3.13 or 3.14.
Yep…134 in queue at 8am CST/1pm UTC.
With all my empathy, today found a new low. waiting in queue from 87 to zero for the game to open offline tab, pushing on online started a queue from 110.
I do not understand, if the load is coming from number of games created, why set a queue to login, not game creation?
This would allow to join a friends game and guide players to co-op.
As well as many others, quite honestly I dont care about the queues. They are infuriating when you crash and have to log back in, especially because crashes happen frequently. If you were to make a grace timer or something similar to skip ahead then it would be all great.
What is rather game breaking is the penalty system upon joining games. I dont mind it there, but it should only apply to succesfully created/joined games. When I accidentally join a game too fast and find it not existing yet, its infuriating to wait for a minute to be able to join again. By then its either full or perhaps still not existing (and holy buck then I do get angry at the penalty system). Also, it should not penalize you for trying to create a game with a name that already exists.
Im not sure how or why anyone would argue that abovementioned “failed to join/create” scenarios should be penalized? If any blue post could explain me this, even if its just a coincidence of unlucky coding or whatever, I’d be so happy to know. I would much rather know why this is, than being left frustrated about not being able to play for several minutes and not having the faintest clue as to why it would work that way.
