The queue system is a joke. A month after launch, many months after open beta, and years since internal testing started and they did not foresee that the players would be making and re-making games constantly?
Their own D2 legacy servers would have shown them this data if they’d only used their intelligence to look at current player habits. We should not be suffering the server issues we are suffering. Blizzard should have foreseen the issues and ensured that had robust systems in place to prevent the servers from crashing constantly.
Now we have this ridiculous queue system where it seems that even outside of peak hours there are queues that take FAR too long to go down and there are people missing out on playing due to tight time constraints that family life forces upon us.
Blizzard have no excuses, they are meant to be a professional gaming company, yet it appears that every time they launch a game they are caught with their pants down, and things arise that they somehow did not foresee. This is not good enough, and their explanations and general communication with the fanbase is piss poor.
The upshot is, D2 should have been much more successful and much more fun than it has turned out. People are turned off because they cannot play, it ruins people’s fun when they are constantly getting kicked out of the game and have to spend more hours in a queue because there is no grace system that allows you to log back immediately should you get disconnected.
There are no words to describe how far Blizzard have fallen. Rock bottom doesn’t even begin to describe it.

This game is good, because as a busy individual, you can quickly just open the game - manage to create some good games of pvp, mf or dia/baal running or whatever you prefer - WITHOUT HAVING TO WAIT, and then just end briefly whenever you feel like it. The queue is really a pain in the below, when you have limited time on your hands!
I had 45 min. to play just as I’m writing this. And that queue-line is taking EXACTLY all the time!

sorry blizzard - I totaly get it that there might be server difficulties and afair even in diablo 2 classic you get a temp ban (30min ?) for opening new games to fast. I remember as it was yesterday because I did a lot act3 mephisto runs.
But I dont get the queue system here… if this is all you have to give to us as buyers of the game - speaking for myself - this would have been the last blizzard game I bought.
So get it done or lose a customer. I mean srsly ? hours of waiting if you want to play for 30min ?
I dont know what exactly your problems are - but when it has something to do with ppl opening new games too fast for mf runs, then bring back the temp bans and comunicate it to the comunity that you have to stay at least 5-10min in your game in order to avoid temp bans for creating games to many games to fast.
I wont be waiting for hours to play d2. there are enough other games which let me play.

Yes they did… they announced we’re going to see a fix in a few months from now, because internal testing ( which is giving people high hopes sarcasm as they did A TON OF THIS before and during beta right ? )
We’ll get longer que times during peak times, so longer punishments in between games as well likely.
You’re doing nothing about other regions just mass raiding other realms to pump up those respective que times in the morning ( a 300+ que at 7AM for EU seems very unlikely )
Hard locking that would be a solution.
Also no words on the mass amount of Pindlebots running in Asia, probably in EU too as their que is about double…
And we’ll be able to see how long we have to wait in que , so we don’t have to bother logging on when you have like an hour of time to play.

I really like this new queue features, as it diverts my attention from the dozens of issues you have while actually playing the game.
So bad that so technical gifted personel as you have, have to work with outdated systems.
They all want to reply to this. They can’t.
Hey BLIZZ. Im in the same spot. I work for a cheap corporate. They give us the olders, stupid, servers to maintain. It’s impossible to make them work in todays standard.
You do a good job im sure. This is a thumbs up.
Current state: Queue that take something between 30 and 60 minutes. At the weekend i start my pc 2 or 3 hours before im planing to play and enter the queue.
And the 1 min block for a new game is the worst desision for the game you could do.
A game, where we NEED bank-chars, because the stashes are not big enough and you just have 4 stash-tabs. so if you try to sort your items to the bank-chars, it takes 30 minutes to just sort the items!

The game itself makes so mutch fun but the restrictions ruin the entire feeling…

That’s far from being the only thing the post explains, but I can understand the frustration.

Yes seriously needs a solution for the queues that they get taken out again! Also that you have no 1 min limit from making a game! All this stuff should be possible to do this days! With d2r was alot of stuff promised that cant get hold at the end like the better resolution that was getting taken away in the last minute before realese! I hope they take at least the queue soon out and also that you have no game limitations!

Hey Blizzard, I’m really happy I payed 70 dollars to sit in a queue for 30-60 mins while waiting to play a game that was released in the year 2000. Well done, round of applause for milking your community. Will really look forward to buying into your next bs rip-off game.

There is no “Buy the next Game” this Experience with D2R was the last Nail in the Coffin. No more Blizz for the rest of my Life. We need a Refund right NOW.

I went back to poe myself. From D1-Sc2 I fully supported blizzard titles. I got a bit salty when they devaluated my sc2 purchase by making it f2 to be honest. I am happy I didn’t buy wc3r, a few friends of mine did and what I did see was a bitter disappointment, on top of that recent legal developments definitely changed my view on blizzard management. D2R is the nail in the coffin. For me it feels like an end to an era.
D2 aged so well, I just cannot fathom how you can make the title worse by “modernizing” it. Loading screens for every transition, mobs which will delete your char in hc in just said loading screens. Anja refreshing now takes 5-10x as long, CTD’s queues. Improvements? Graphics I guess wow, I won’t count the shared stash as an improvement as long as you are limited to 20 characters, shared across ALL modes.
Playing hc/sc feels super restrictive as you have even less mule options. IDK, D2R feels way worse than d2, which I still recently did play as either PD2 or PoD.
I dont even understand why I am in a queue. I bought this for singleplayer, what the f am I waiting for?
