Another D2 troll, this place is full of them, if your that bored go play candycrush, thereās no end game there
Yep What they name EndGame is an infinite meaningless repetitive loop (And most of the time it is not infinite at all, like D3 and Max 150 GR)
In D3 iām pretty sure that new player stuck in Prime / Greater rift loop donāt even know who deckard Cain is.
The so called EndGame killed D3
If you got better data, provide it please. Iāll keep sticking to best data available.
Iām making statements based on n=500, unrandomized. Your statements are base on - nothing.
so. I havenāt played D3 after trying the closed beta, or other hackānāslash since D1, D2 and Titan Quest.
so the end game would be a specific area, that you unlock after completing the game?
such as, cow level, or ubers, to be able to farm it endlessly.
I genuinely donāt get what that would bring, you already farm endlessly after you beat the game, does it matter if its in a different area?
could someone explain the concept?
New end-game content?
Different items, more in width.
Another stronger mode after āHellā so even a Hdin or blizz sorc canāt kill everything that easy and they are forced to play in a group with buffer or summoner etc.
Capture the Flag:
If you want to fight against or for new content or not or end-game or not, then bring in ideas and stop talking about bla bla bla blaā¦
You forgot daily quests to gain faction reputation.
Having enough Reputation will give access to unique items and access to special dungeons which are so difficult that they require a full party of top end dps (means all have to be hammerdin or sorcs or support to those, other builds will never get a spot because they do not enough dmg).
Easy fix to all of that:
D2R launcher doesnt start d2r anymore, but wow classic client instead.
I would suggest itās like the Crow, Raven & certain other creatures that itās No Longer Flashy, Bright and or Pretty enuff for those peoplešWhat can I say some people are like thatā¦Which is why Diablo III & Diablo IV is so much more popular with those individuals
Glad you shared your wisdom more than 2 years after this thread had died.
/irony off
Boring end-game?
So I see you have ~95 characters with fully completed and operational builds?
Show me your fully completed and min/maxed bowazon, then weāll talk about how you finished the game just to make bowazon for fun.
Dont understand all the fuss. There is an endgame and already has been. You just gotta need some preparations and adjustements.
Games have endings. When you are done with yours, you move on.
TLDR: If you have to repeat something, whatever it is, it will eventually get boring. Thereās no way around it. You can only postpone this by finding new challenges. Diablo provides this opportunity.
Just a suggestion out of personal experience:
Regrding the endgame: to me, Diablo is NOT a grinding game. I donāt care about perfect rolls or gear (apart from their trade value). Diablo is a mind game and the endgame is creating builds. Experiment, try new stuff, exotic stuff, original stuff. Forget about YouTube. Make it work on your own. Donāt demand that every build performs like a hammerdin, just demand that it works. It completes Hell and has no major issues along the way. Take the challenge to make it work despite not having multiple Ber-valued gear in most item slots. Take the challenge to build around every unique or set or runeword that you can think of. There is soooo much more variety in d2 than most people imagine. Personally, Iāve tried over 50 builds in the past years - all Hell viable even with single player gear on p3+ setting. The new balance changes and runewords extend these possibilities and essentially add new āendgameā content in this sense. Sure, you need to grind a bit to provide gear for these builds, but there are many budget ones as well and trading helps a lot.
In the huge variety of builds, many are melee, and they are by no means bad. And thatās even before Grief and Fortitude and all the former ladder-only runewords. I donāt understand why people keep complaining about this. Dual Dream paladins, Frenzy Barbs, Zealots, WW Barbs (when they fix them), Fury Druids are all quite strong and in my opinion much more versatile that a heavy dps single-tree lightning sorc, for example.
The new lvl85 areas will make the grinding part more diverse and enjoyable and making a few Flickering Flames, Plagues and Mists is a great incentive to play ladder for a few months. Great toys for new builds. All in all, I see good times ahead in D2R
you are speaking my tongue!
there are so many people that have been accustomed to arpg being akin to bullet hell. if you dont kill fast, you must be doing something wrong. if you have a weakness, your build does not work, etc. when all that should really matter is, if you hurt something faster than it regenerates life and you dont die in the process, you are doing something right. you are able to progress. and d2 just does this very well. its very hard to run into a situation you genuinely cant outsmart your way out of, no matter what way your character is built. there is no reason to treat d2 like work, that it has to be efficient and āget the job doneā. d2 is not paperwork or some thesis you have to grind through. its a pot and pan, you decide what flavor you put in it and what ingredients you experiment with. there are not a lot of games that allow for this freedom
many people take the āaā in arpg and run with it. they forget the rp part. rp requires drama, setbacks, and struggles to create a silver lining. a rollercoaster is not thrilling if it only goes up. we must embrace all challenges and rejoice when things go our way, take part in the ups as well as the downs, get immersed in the chaos and feel when control is regained
If you want to get to the Ber level items during a ladder season tho you are going to need a decent kill speed to grind out the rng. Itās really really common to get to lvl 92-93 before even seeing a high rune drop. Or anything to its equivalent in trading value. 10 min cs clears are not going to get you there without at least some added grey hairs
