Haven’t played for a couple of months. Logged in to find extremely low bit rate audio that is distorted and many sound effects don’t play.
The audio is set to the same bit rate as my operating system (64) and I have tried the others.
Scanned and repaired game.
Fresh installed.
I have in game music off so it’s just the game sound.
The only variable is that I have updated my GPU since the last time I played but I have had no audio issues with any other games within the blizzard client or on any other platform.
Currently the game is unplayable.

Microsoft has acknowledged that audio issues could occur after installing the following updates (scroll down to known issues):
- KB4522016 :

According to Microsoft, the audio issues are fixed by the installation of KB4517211 – see https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/4517211/windows-10-update-kb4517211
You may want to check whether those updates are installed on your system.
