Can't get passed "Fetching CDN config"

I’m trying to update the game and it won’t pass the “Fetching CDN config” part. I’ve browsed all over the web and none of the solutions worked for me.

I’ve uninstalled and tried reinstalling the game but it won’t get past the dreading and annoying error.

Please help, I’ve just updated 5 games in Steam with no problems, even though I just want to play D3’s new season…

reinstalling the battle.net client, and deleting the Blizzard folder from the C Drive. To remove Update Agent .exe.

Normally this can be resolved by working through the steps here.

If the above does not work then I would also recommend the steps here.
