Code 315000 message

I was reported by three players for adult language after being harassed in an adult game and got silenced for it. No mention of action taken for being harassed and acting in self-defence so I guess harassing people is ok with Blizzard so I will write to my M.P. about this!

Why am I seeing code 351000? I could play the game no problem after being silenced now I cannot and silence is only supposed to be being unable to chat not an account suspension which is being unable to PLAY!

I do not pay for this terrible service I expect full access to the game immediately and I will be reporting for breeching UK and EU electronic goods purchases by blocking my game play which I paid for!!!

There is a bug, outstanding since October 2019, which means that players that have received a silence in any Blizzard game are unable to start a game in Diablo III. Unfortunately, you’ll just need to wait until the period of your silence expires to be able to play Diablo III again.

You can appeal your silence… here:

Unacceptable so ICO reporting it is then!!!

Also I could play after receiving notification and yet been unable to chat in-game ergo I doubt this is a bug but a deliberate action that is outside of silence. Terms of silence is only inhibiting the ability to communicate NOT to play! Inhibiting the ability to play games is a suspension at the very least I only received official notification of silence which means this deliberate action is done in malice!!!

You mean despite Blizzard acknowledging that it’s a bug…

You either deliberately ignored all of the information in my reply or you focused only on your experience based opinion discarding all information you had available to you that negated it!

Someone else please help me that can respond to all points raised PLEASE! Not going over it again just read everything I posted on this topic in this thread and then PLEASE do be so kind as to get back to me even if only to concur & APOLOGISE!!!

In your opening post, you admit to using “adult language”.

The other players used the in-game report option on you for doing so.

If enough players do this, an automated “squelch” is applied to you, i.e. a short-term suspension of being able to chat.

Subsequent to that, the reports are looked at by a GM, and the reports include transcripts of what you said.

If the GM upholds the complaint, they give you a silence penalty. The first penalty for this offence is 24 hours. Subsequent offences double the penalty period each time.

The bug, which Blizzard confirmed exists, means that for the duration of your silence you will be unable to start a Diablo III game session.

If you received a silence penalty that means a GM reviewed what you said in chat and upheld the complaints, i.e. you won’t get an apology for being punished for behaviour they wish to discourage.

In future, if people are harassing you, don’t join in tit-for-tat. Leave the group. If they persist in whispers or other channels, put them on ignore. If what they’re saying is serious enough, report them.

Ok tnx for the update bub because I read silence protocol and the bug report and it never specifically mentioned that silence also results in account suspension as this is essentially what has happened.

Although please note that for many hours after the suspension I was able to play the game just could not chat. I also logged on & off several times too: then; all of a sudden I get the code message baloney, which is why it is not a bug but a suspension when I am supposed to be silenced as such I will not withdraw my complaint to the ICO!!!

For future reference do not suspend peoples accounts or silence them in adult games for defending themselves or reprimanding stupidity as again it will result in complaints to ICO and after several complaints from the same or different people accentuates it to a serious breech!!!

Peace & Love.
