I’ve been playing a lot lately and most of the time in Rifts and bounties, dreadlands players just outright said “you are too slow!” “Get gud!” “Play Meta or kick!”
These dreadland players just think so high of themselves and not giving other class some room to catch up and let us have some fun! Seriously, that is why I am having to resolve into playing solo 90% of the time!
I wish that builds like this will not be in D4. It will ruin teamplay and dreadlands builds a.k.a will just run off and flex ‘I am faster than you srub!’
This is wrong!
I am sorry for posting this. But something has to be said… sigh… I am tired of players running off and kicking other classes just because they can’t go fast enough. Not only that, I was also thinking ‘lets open my session to public’… a few min later in bounties, some fast players like dreadlands just vote kicked me… like seriously???
Please, don’t generalize!
If I open game to public all I ask is that you contribute. So, if you’re P294 and you join T16 bounty game there is chance that you can’t handle 4 player T16 which is monster hp wise around GR83.
Big no-nos:
- if you die constantly and and can’t contribute anything
- if all you do is follow another player and just loot
I can handle everything. I am season paragon 1200+ and can handle my weight. Its just that Dreadland players are so one-sided and has a big ego that they resort to saying you are too slow to ‘git gud’ and kicking players!
I play classes like the Marauder (My main Demon Hunter), Wizard and Crusader. I know that some can keep up… but again… have no breathing room to enjoy the classes because dreadland keeps running off and doesn’t give a dam!
You usually only get kicked if you’re afk or too slow. If you can do a whole act on your own while the other three players are doing their acts and they then start on the last act before you have finished your own act, then you should be okay. Some of the bounties can be quite time consuming while others are really fast, and also some classes (and players) have extremely fast bounty builds. But if you’re only like halfway through your act while the other players have done their acts plus the extra act then I can understand their frustration. Your bounty setup could maybe be better and you need to focus on getting the bounties done quickly.
I can do it quickly, not a problem. It’s just that dreadland players… sigh… they just go so fast as if they don’t give other classes a chance to keep up! This results in arguments and kick to dreadlands saying ‘git gud scrub!’ etc…
I play Unholy build (Multishot) atm and its able to ‘barely’ keep up but lost all discipline all the time to try and keep up! Discipline is needed to do DPS and dreadlands players also said that I suck! It’s sad… It’s not my fault. They just kept running off and kicking you from parties.
I use Dreadlands, optimised for speed, in bounties.
Bounty splits are for everyone regardless of level - except for afk’s who might be bots, leeching others’ efforts.
On the other hand, while I’ve just cleared 2 full acts myself, I see 2 other players doing the last of their Acts and there is one player, just finishing their ** first, sometimes second bounty** you can see why GoD DH’s feel like they are drawing the short straw every other run. This happens more than I care to count.
When you’re expecting 100% of the rewards for 10-20% of the contributed work, it’s time to run the speed variant of your class on a torment it can survive while you optimize it.

I play Unholy builds which is optimized for Bounties and GR farm. I also do my best to keep up and sometimes do nearly 3 zones and a half on the map just to help other season players that are wizards, crusaders and other classes that don’t have speed. I also don’t mind because I played the class too and I know how it feels… while… dreadlands just does is flex and say you are too slow and decides to kick players (because they are not good enough!). This is not how teamwork should be… Devs should have rebalanced the Dreadland builds so other classes can keep up. But no… they are busy on D4.
Edit: I play Marauder class as I enjoyed it. It’s kinda slow. But it helps me push for higher level GR. Rightnow, I am optimzing my Marauder even more for GR117+ and up and up. Being fast doesn’t always work for me. I tried dreadland and I can’t use that build because of my hands. If I am not careful, I can get carpal tunnel… that will not be good. That is why I play Unholy build as it is easier for my hands on Mouse and KB.
I used to Farm on UE in the past, it’s not that far behind GoD if you have the right passives for resource regeneration for it to always be capped and unlimited vaults. While I don’t agree with you being kicked on the spot, I suspect there is more to it. In my experience this will be an isolated incident. When I’m doing Public Bounties, you only really notice people who are doing nothing (AFK) as you are too busy doing your own bounties, until the end when you can see each acts progress and who is on them. You’ve either been the victim of a troll or a co-ordinated vote of people who were partied before you invited them (opened up the lobby).

Please, don’t give us all that bad name.
Not long ago I opened game for bounties. I “finidhed” 4 acts and I was about to finish last act alone before two players joined. Do you know what my reaction was? “You lucky…”
I’ve not used or given any bad names. If you’re happy running spending 45 minutes doing something that is normally sub 10-15 and sharing the spoils then that’s good for you, no-one is arguing otherwise, but I’m sure if you were doing those 4 acts and you were checking on the others in the group and they had done 1 or 2 bounties each you would be singing a different tune.
So, other people said you are too slow, and then you go on to explain that you choose to play slow builds, proving they were right?
Public bounties / nephalem rifts are about speed. People are there purely for bounty materials or GR keys and because of that they want to maximise the number of these they obtain for time spent. That’s why classes generally have a speedy build for this. It’s T16, so it doesn’t need to be that powerful, drop damage to put in speed-boosting items / abilities.
Meteor, have you read my posts carefully? Don’t jump on the wagon so quickly.
I use Unholy build for Bounties. Marauder = GR is for high HIGH rifts. Speed isn’t everything! I also stated that I can hold my weight. I am Paragon 1200+ in my season playthrough.
Please read before throwing rock at my face.
This sounds to me like you’re following the other players instead of playing the bounties by yourself… it’s only normal to join another player when all the other bounties are done.
No it’s not. I wasn’t following. That is a statement when I was in Rifts. Not bounties. My apologies.
In bounties, I split up and do my part. When I am done, I will assist other slow players like a Wizard, Crusader and etc.
Dreadland players sometimes teleport to me just to mock me. Been there seen it, got kicked. They just teleport and flex. Ran off with speed and mocked me.
10-15 minutes per act and you call others slow? Seriously?
I’m referring to an entire run in 10-15 minutes. I would normally call you slow for making such a statement, but I’m just assuming you have not read the whole thread where I have already elaborated to completing two entire acts before the rest finish theirs on occasion.
Then I don’t see why anybody would kick you?? Be sure to cash in the bounty cache when you have finished a whole act. And also don’t spend time communicating/chatting/discussing with other players.
I’ve also been in random bounties where the main player checked my builds and kicked me that I don’t have dreadlands. Like seriously? Like… uhhhhh…
Don’t get the wrong picture here, there are some nice dreadland players. Used to be in one that was with his pal (not going to name, sorry.) and said just go at your pace and have fun.
I actually did my part as fast as I can with my build. They also said ‘not bad’.
Not all dreadlands are bad. I am just trying to say that the majority of the bad bad ones I bumped into.
