I Cannot Install ROS

Hi I want to install the ROS expansion and I own a copy of the disk
but when I insert the disk and double click Diablo III Setup it just
logs me in to the original Diablo III and opens the game as if to start
playing but it has not installed the ROS expansion at all it does not
ask me for my cd key or anything and when I click on the Crusader I
still get a message saying that the Crusader requires the ROS expansion
and there is a button below it that says (purchase) and if you click on
it, it opens up a window so that you can do some sort of internet purchase
of ROS but I already own a copy of the disk which I bought at a shop,
any help would be awesome thanks.

The game files themselves would be the same, access to the Expansion content would be controlled by what cdkeys you have claimed on that Battle.net account.
If it’s only showing you the base Diablo III content, it means the account you are logged into has not claimed Reaper of Souls on it, and you’d need to claim the key onto that Battle.net via the Account page to get access to the Expansion.

The disk itself is no longer used, those files are long out of date now, and it’s the cdkey that is the important part.
