'Internal Server Error' while trying to load my profile on D3 website

I initially noticed the issue on Maxroll’s D3planner - the site would correctly load my profile and character names, but I couldn’t fully load any of my characters.

When I go to the D3 website, log in, and go to my profile, I get a ‘500 Internal Server Error’. I do not see any of my characters and I cannot load them.

The problem has persisted since the season start.
