I have this issue also. any fix for this yet or is Blizz being stubbon D-canoes not wanting to fix it? Its quit annoying every 4-7th GR i know im gonna die and not just once several times and then you cant complete the GR 
tried every surgestion, nothing works.
also it seems to be linked with mirror images, freezes exactly when i use them, sometimes.
Also with problems here! Always Freezing! I think I’m going to play another game. I will try again today. If I freeze I will stop playing Diablo 3 until they are fixed! Bah!
Hey guys I am experiencing the same thing like it freezes when I am in a Greater Rift sometimes freezes for like couple minutes then comes back but leaves my character either almost out of hatred for no reason or dead I play god dh by the way if that helps. For me this is kinda strange as I just got my new PC a few days ago and the PC is very new so I know for a fact that it isn’t my hardware’s problem but a Diablo 3 problem.
If anyone knows a solution please do tell me.

My screen freezes around mobs for 1-8 seconds when running group GR, 1-3 sec when running solo GR – reducing the video options and turning off sound only converted the freeze into gigantic lag – incredibly frustrating and I did not have this problem in the previous season
This is not an specs issue: i9, RTX 2080, 32 GB RAM & SSD.
Sigh. Nope, I thought the freezes were resolved but I guess I just had a long lucky streak without them. They started again when I was doing public GR and every single time I hit mirror images I got a ~10 second freeze killing me. Just closed the game after 5 deaths or so.
For everyone doing the mirror build, I just found out something that helped me, got no freezes no lagg, nothing. conventions of elements just remove the ring. I did that + killed all sound, and it work flawless now. Found the tip on the US board and it works.
I too have random lags. im currently on 1.6k latency in game, but my response time for my network is between 1.5-2.5MS with 100/100 DL UL. getting abit annoyed.
I’m pretty sure your servers are having connection issues. I played other online games, totally smooth.
I’m actually getting freezing due to this modex64.dll file. It was an issue last season and still an issue this season. I can only assume that the support for diablo 3 is no longer available. Therefore diablo III is no longer supported. Glad my hc monk hasn’t died from it due to closing the game asap after the freeze, but I can’t keep risking it. I don’t play SC either, so in turn, I don’t play the game.
Ever since activision got involved, their usual lazyness has overflowed to good development teams and the standards have dropped.

How many more years will you need for D3 to work? 10 years was obviously not enough for you. I was told that you would fix the game over time, which has not happened until now. So give the money back to the people.
Same stuff. I just played as usual and then boom! 900 latency and it is rising even more… Everything else is ok, only D3 is lagging. Fix it mb? It happened multiple times last week
What about the problem where the game is still freezing?
I’m trying to raise the level of legendary gems.
The game literally froze in one GR level 125 run over 10 times in a row.
When does Blizzard think to fix that bug in the game !?
It’s a game breaking bug that everyone has known about for months,
but no one is doing anything to get rid of it!

Two seasons now and 10s lag spikes in GR. We are blamed for the issue. No response from tech support. Months go by. How do you expect us to support D4 and D2 remastered if you ignore us?

I dunno about any of You guys but for me personally - D4 / D2Remastered aren’t an option to my shopping list.
Not untill this ‘little bug’ has been removed.
Blizz knows what causes this but is unwilling to work for fix.

First there was the error 10017, now the game is spiking every 10-20s. my latency went from the hundreds to the thousands causing it to be unplayable!
Seriously, is this the kind of awesome service we can expect from D4/D2 remastered? If so then thanks but no thanks no more blizzard products
First there is the 10017 error. Now I have to contend with the CONSTANT freezes and lag spikes. I just lost my HC barb to this BS. You have no idea how angry I am right now and I have already sent tonnes of feedback which was collectively ignored. Even when opening my inventory my items inside takes forever to load.

Everytime a lag spike occurs the Latency bar (near resource) will go to RED for a few seconds. This is not PC performance, unless it’s Blizzard’s Server PC performance.
This arrogance alone…
