If you rift solo, you need to successfully clear that level 27 to raise the maximum GR level that you can open. Your personal GR limit will also increase if you join a public game that clears a GR above 27. You will likely be able to raise that limit higher much faster in a public game, i think when rifting solo the limit increases by +1 level for each minute remaining after clearing the highest level you have available. Join a public game or ask someone to carry you through 1 rift and you could raise your GR limit by 50 levels after one rift if a level 77 is opened and completed.

The level of GR you have access to can be increased in two ways.

The first is based on the difficulty level that you complete a Nephalem Rift (yes, a normal rift, not a GR) on. For example, if you complete a rift with the game set to Torment 13 difficulty, thatā€™s nominally the same as a GR60, so you would have access to do GRs at any difficulty up to GR60. The highest this method can give you access to is by completing a rift at Torment 16, which gives access to GR75.

The second method is by successful completion of GRs. Letā€™s say youā€™ve used the above method to unlock access to GR75s. You run a GR75 and successfully kill the guardian before the timer runs out. Depending on how much you beat the timer by will determine how many extra levels of GR you will have access to next time.

Beat the Guardian in less than 5 minutes = 3 GR levels unlocked
Beat the Guardian in less than 10 minutes = 2 GR levels unlocked
Beat the Guardian in less than 15 minutes = 1 GR levels unlocked

So, letā€™s say you ran the GR75 and you took 9 minutes to do it. Next time the obelisk in town would give you access to up to GR77.

Hello, sorry for bothering.

I moved to China and going to be here for a year or so, currently playing on ā€œAsiaā€ server, got my character leveled up, but now Iā€™m actually thinking that in a year I will move back to my country and will play on EU server, so I wonā€™t be able to play my characters anymore, is there a way to migrate characters between servers? Even if I have to pay for it, could be a great option, otherwise thereā€™s no point playing right now.

Sorry once again and have a wonderful day.

Hi Liirooy, Iā€™m sorry but that is not possible; each server / region is totally separate from the others.

That doesnā€™t mean you wonā€™t be able to play on Asia when you come back to your countryā€¦ you will need to see what the latency is like and whether that latency is acceptable to you.

Hi all, thought Iā€™d reply in here as it seems related.

I now have my Sunwuko 6 piece set for my Monk and am at or around T5. Managed to solo GR20 pretty easily and really enjoying things. Iā€™m loving the gradual progression of things.

Iā€™d like to start farming for specific items of equipment now, specifically the Vengeful Wind which will increase the stacks on the Swirling Wind by 6-7.

Is the best way to do this by upgrading rare items in the cube (ie 1H fist weapons)? After that my next best chances of getting it are from Kadala and spending blood shards?

Iā€™m not sure Iā€™m ready to jump in with a group just yet and would like to get a bit more experienced.

Thanks for the help.

Yes, because this method lets you specifically target fist weapons. Buying one-handed weapons from Kadala costs 75 bloodshards each (so itā€™s expensive) and the loot pool includes fist weapons, daggers, swords, maces and so on, so youā€™ve got a much lower chance of getting the weapon you want.

Thanks again Meteorblade.

Good morning Friendly Tavern

I am loving to play Diablo so much and I in particular love Eirena, Lyndon and Kormac. They have such lovely conversations, and I love how they are all part of each others story.

I love fantasy art as I have played D&D for many years and I commissioned an artist to make an image of Eirena (my favourite) in Diablo 3. I was so happy with the result, and I wanted to share it with you all.

Hope you like this image. The link goes to Imgur, which I think is a safe website.

Morning all, me again.

Last night was the first time i played D3 and found it difficult. I upped the difficulty to T7 to try and get some of the season challenges done and get absolutely rinsed by some elite mobs.

I have real trouble dealing decent damage when i lose my sweeping wind stacks. This is often coupled with no spirit and so itā€™s hard to get going again.

I am roughly following the Icy Veins beginnerā€™s Sunwuko build and adapting it slightly. Id like to find a Vengeful Wind to raise the stacks on SW also.

Should i just go back and farm T4-5 rifts, GRs and bounties for the time being? I have a feeling im a little underlevelled for the higher Torments at the moment.

Thanks for the help as always.

Normally, once youā€™ve got your six-piece armour bonus and a couple of supporting legendaries, you should be good to go at T10 and above. However, comparing your hero to the icy vein guideā€¦
https://www.icy-veins.com/d3/monk-sunwuko-lashing-tail-kick-build-patch-2-6-5-season-17
ā€¦you do seem to be missing some essential pieces, i.e. your two fist weapons (more sweeping wind stacks and more lashing tail kick damage), spirit guard bracers (more mitigation after using a generator) and riviera dancer boots (more lashing tail kick damage). Iā€™d suggest sticking with running some rifts for keys then doing whatever level of GR you can farm quickly (4-6 minutes each run) to maximise your bloodshard gains (spend on trying to get boots / bracers) and legendary drops. For the fist weapons, visit the Blacksmith and craft some yellow level 70 fist weapons then use Kanaiā€™s Cube to upgrade them to legendary, as you need two primary weapons and another for extraction into the cube.

Alternatively, if you want some help, you could throw me a Friends request (Meteorblade#2266) and Iā€™d be happy to take you through a lot of higher GRs so you get plenty of bloodshards, gem upgrades, XP and legendaries.

[ EDIT ]
Rather than wait for you to see this post, Iā€™ve actually sent you a Friend request. If youā€™d like some help, go ahead and accept it. If you want to continue pushing solo, feel free to reject it.

Thank you, as always for the guidance Meteorblade.

Without doubt I am missing some important gear. On my way to lvl 70 (and after that) I have simply been swapping out whatever gear gives me the most damage and have been favoring main stat attributes. I now need to focus my efforts.

I have my rare fist weapons ready to go though I am running out of stash space! Iā€™ll go back to T5 (maybe even lower) and farm for DBs and Bloodshards.

Thank you for the friendā€™s request. I will gladly accept it (I presume I do this in game) though I wonā€™t now be on until Monday. My only concern is that I would be good for nothing other than standing there whilst you kill everything in sight

Cheers

You can accept / reject requests either in-game from the Friends menu (press O to access that) or directly in the Battle.net launcher. I see from your profile that your current paragon level is 86. My advice would be to check the build guide for the priority order to spend your paragon points on because 2-3 GRs of the level Iā€™d take you through will triple that in about 20 minutes.

Nice

Iā€™ll respec my paragon points too. Thanks for the tip.

Seems I have plenty to do now but at least Iā€™m a little clearer on what needs to happen.

Cheers

Cool pic. Eirena is very much one of the most good-hearted characters in D3 imo. And yes Imgur is definitely a safe website :slightly_smiling_face:

That picture of Eirena is amazing! Please pass my thanks and appreciation on to the artist.

If itā€™s at all possible, and also only if he (or she?) can get away with by doing them in the spirit of being a fan, Iā€™d like to see pictures of the other follows, and maybe the hero classes too, in particular the Crusader and Wizard.

P.S. Sorry I havenā€™t been online alot to play. Itā€™s my birthday soon and arranging time off from work for the inevitable party from family is proving to be a pain.

Hi Prometheus.

Thank you, I also liked her image of Eirena. I really love her art, so I might ask her to do more images in the future!

I have been a lot busy too, with working nights and sleeping all of the days! Haha. And I hope you have a lovely birthday, all my best wishes. And a family party can be fun, there might be cake!

Thanks, Pikachu.

All I know for sure is weā€™re going to be making a trip to my home town to watch ā€œThe Lion Kingā€. Beyond that, Iā€™m not really sure what to expect.

This weekend is going to be crazy, I think!

Hehe, sometimes a crazy weekend is just whatā€™s needed!

Request is still pendingā€¦
Iā€™ve even got a stock of Bovine Bardiches and Puzzle Rings waiting.

I will log on tonight and accept. Had a very busy weekend and then spent all of yesterday doing DIY. Not ignoring you I promise.
