Yea we know the game is created in u.s, but do not force upon us europeans the weird systems americans use. In eu we use 24hour clocks and metric system.
24H clock in the upper right corner of the screen should not be something we have to ask for in 2023!. Heck, you already have it as option for timestamp in the chat…
They use inches feet and miles… do you think they can comprehend? There are even sites taht spew out a link you can put into your post that showes the time for everyones timezone they picked on forums or whatever sites you wanna use it ^^.
Well at the end of the day it’s a game from a US company so it’s fair game they use their time format. Then again someone caring for their cutomers would always tell all times in all timezones and formats but it’s not needed because there are enough time converters.
So you don’t like Blizzard forcing you to use their version of time/clock and you want to force your version on everyone?
Some options for the in-game time display would be nice, but it’s a game that’s going to be played by millions all around the world. Believe it or not but not everyone wants to use a 24hour clock, some people prefer to keep the 12 hour format.
Requesting a change and/or additional options is fine, but making demands as though you’re the only person who gets to decide what can or cannot be done is just plain ignorant and very self-entitled!
So you don’t want to be forced to use their time format but you want to force everyone to use your preferred time format? But hey, why be polite and try requesting when you can just insult and demand the changes that you want! Everybody must conform to what the EU demands eh?
And people wonder why the UK wanted out of the European Union!
yeah you cant even read your language! “It should default to your system region its not that hard dont defend those lazy devs.” thats what i posted so if you could read you would know that if your system has american region and format you would have a.m/p.m. and if not other. Is it that hard to try and read shit brah? Enjoy your curry or whatever you bongs eat.
I have never before heard of analog time being american… I don’t even understand this agrument about why people are hating america for using standard clock times.
Clocks, physical clocks have 12 hours and a day has two full rotations for them. This is where a AM v PM notation comes from and the first spring loaded clock was invented in Germany.
A 24hour clock is generally from the digital age.
American cultural norms have nothing to do with 12 hour v 24 hour clock.
You can actually change the way your computer displays time, without touching any sort of “system region” from a 24hour clock to 12 hour clock display.
Edit: just checked and D3 uses a 24 hour clock time
But we cant change it in D4, 12hour format under map and 24hours format in chat and the thing with am pm is from uk and usa, in most eu countries we just use 24 hour format or sometimes 12 but without pm/am, its just lazy why wont game detect system settings and change all time format to it. Its small detail but its annoying.
In Skyrim we found optional files for some mods so everyone could use whatever was preferred. Having distances (for example on the compass or for spellranges) in feet was very annoying.
Hypocrisy and more insults! You clearly didn’t read my first comment, so here you go, I’ll repost the entire second and third paragraphs that you clearly failed to read and understand:

Do you need me to break that down into smaller, simpler words for you to understand? More options for the in-game time display so that individual players can freely choose what time format is displayed. Do you understand that now? Is it really that hard to actually read and comprehend what you are reading so as to understand what is being said? Let me try to make it even simpler for you: More options to allow for personal choices is always better!
Rather than politely request some additional options be added you’re just demanding Blizzard changes it to what you want while also insulting all Americans and pretty much anyone that isn’t bowing down to you in obedience! That’s some awesome strategy you’ve thought up there!
Said the guy from the country that has still colonies around the world, in 2023. If you continue like that, you will also be out of NATO and, possibly, planet earth. Anyway, no wonder such statements come from someone who still want kings and queens in 2023.
Yes! A nice little toggle option to choose either 24hr or 12hr, clock display, option could be nice.
Personally I don’t think I even need an in game clock except for, perhaps, co-ordination of in game events. Such events are most often arranged outside of games anyway.
I can see four clocks from where I sit to game [1 analog physical [12], one analog via a digital clock face display [12], 1 digital [24] on satellite reciever and 1 digital [24] on computer screen]. Of course many games display time whilst in game too.
The markers AM [ante meridiem - before midday] and PM [post meridiem - after midday] are really not difficult to understand. Neither is the 24hr system. I’m not European being from the UK! It is easy for me to use digital, analog, 24hr or 12hr systems. I can even get away with ‘Zulu’.
The bigger issue here could be co-ordination beween time zones for in game events. Even so, such co-ordination really is not hard [except I may be asleep at 0400 here when it’s say 2000 elsewhere]. [4 in morning or 8 at night ]. There are many available time zone convertors / comparison tools online to help.
OOps! Bit of a rant there. Any who - I’m not seeing a big deal here.
In the UK both imperial and metric measurements are used regularly, for almost everything you can imagine. For example tyre pressures are measured in PSI (Imperial), but tyre tread depth is measured MM (Metric).
Really? That’s the best you can do? Just more insults and making massive assumptions about someone that you know absolutely nothing about! You are, quite literally, showing a rather large amount of complete ignorance and also quite a bit of racism for everyone to see!
Just to be clear, I do agree that having options for the time display is a good idea, I just don’t agree with demanding that it be changed to what you want simply because you have your reasons for wanting what you want. Is it really so difficult to be polite and simply request a change and/or addtional options instead of demanding and insulting entire nations?
