Blurry image while moving

When I start to move my character all environment like rocks house etc gets a little blurry. The picture is very clear and no blur occurs when the character stands still. Blurr starts to occur even when the character is slowly walking. It’s exactly the same blurr no matter how fast my character is moving(walking, running, horse riding). Tried switching off dlss, g-sync. changed resolution and all in game settings. Tried both OLED, and LED monitors. Same blurr happens no matter on what settings of hardware or software. Seems like it’s something baked into the actual game. Wonder if anyone has the same thing or if they noticed it and it doesn’t bother them?

Same here. It looks unintended

Same and I find it very distracting, but some friends I asked claim they don’t see it.

Exact same here. Tried everything myeself but like you said it seems baked in. It looks like that fake resolution downscaling thing that consoles use to maintain performance. Maybe somthing that has been enabled on pc by error.

i have the same issue, everything seems blurry when i move my character. When i stop moving, everything is sharp. Anybody found a fix ?
It looks like a motion blur we can’t disable.
I don’t find a lot of topic about it. Everybody is blind or what lol
I’ve got a RTX 4090, maybe a nvidia issue ? What’s your spec ?

4090 too, nothing seems to help, but it gets worse if you enable DLSS

Same annoying issue. Nothing fixes it.

Running a 5950x, 32g ram and 3080ti

I am also having the same issue. When moving that background blurs a bit and is surprisingly distracting.

I found the issue, it’s not coming from the game itself but from the monitor/TV you use.

I’m playing on TV 4K LG nanocell. The issue is called " smearing ". I didn’t notice it until now. I changed my TV settings and switched to gaming mode. It’s fixed it !

Check your monitor setting about response time  Decrease or increase it and see.
I don’t think there is another fix.

No it’s not the monitor. This is not happening in other games and it shows up on static screenshots. Your display can add additional smearing, but this problem is with the game itself.

Yeah it’s definitely not the monitor. I have a 160hz refresh and have options set to get higher frames (between 120-160 fps). Still getting this overwhelming bad blur.

I’m experiencing the same issue, and I have a very responsive display (OLED Alienware AW3423DWF). It is also very noticeable during cutscenes with a slow traveling effect. It’s blur festival! I am using an nVidia RTX A4000 notebook with latest drivers. I am very sensitive to graphics quality. I have instantly noticed it, why nobody talks about it but in this little post? It is very ugly and disturbing.

I have the same issue, I have fixed it by enabling dlss on quality mode and replacing the dlss dll with the latest one (though the game replaces it with the old one on restart).

So my guess its some form of motion blur since it gets worse the lower the fps is or some issue with TAA if the game uses TAA.

It’s weird, there should be no TAA if DLSS is enabled. Maybe they kept TAA which adds blur, then it gets worse with DLSS/DLAA. I think the reason many people don’t see it is because the effect is subtle if you don’t turn reconstruction on, so anyone with a small screen and sitting far from may not notice the loss in quality. Most people still game at 1080p on 24" and might have lower expectation of graphics fidelity.

Same happened to me. I turned off all DLSS options and it’s fixed for me. Unlucky, cause DLSS is actually good in some games.

Some game implement DLSS badly, COD/MW1&2 is a good example, it actually causes exactly the same effect, image is blurry on movement and gets sharp when the camera is still. However D4 somehow manages to do this without upscaling. Turning off DLSS helps, but the issue is still there.

Likewise also experiencing this issue and haven’t really managed to figure out a resolution for it with in-game settings.

RTX 4070
Ryzen 7 5800X3D
24" 1080p 240hz monitor

A resolution would be dope its a little frustrating. I’ve settled for playing on a Series X which doesn’t present the problem.

I can’t really agree here guys.
I’m playing at 1440P with DLSS ballanced for high fps and the blur is minor and i think it’s a really good implementation of DLSS unlike D2R where it’s really bad.

Well, it either doesn’t affect everyone, or some people sit so far from the monitor that they don’t see it. I’ve uploaded couple of images that show the problem. Left one is on the move, compared to static camera on the right. It affects some locations/textures more than others. Colours are washed out because of HDR capture, but the image is clearly softer on the left.

Ok i see what you mean.
This is just some form of motionblur in the game.
It’s there with or without DLSS.
Doesn’t really bother me tbh and i’m very sensitive to smearing and ghosting usually.
