Having same issue crashs every couple mins
I have disabling Nvidia DLSS Frame Generation

The only thing we all have in common with the problem is an NVIDIA graphics card. Unfortunately, disabling Nvidia DLSS Frame Generation does absolutely nothing for anyone, and crashes continue to occur every 10-15 minutes.
I went from having 1-2 hours between crashes to every 20-30 minutes.
Did you guys just come back to D4?
Because the crashes started with the raytracing patch in S3.
That is correct. I had left out S3. So has this been a problem for some time or has a solution been offered? Looks like only Nvidia cards are affected, but not all. Some people have problems with the same card, others don’t even though they have the same driver, it’s really strange.
Yea, but no way this has been a problem enduring since S3, too many people are affected to leave this hanging in.
I had the same Problem.
RTX 4070Ti Super
Just make the new Option with Raytracing off.
Last 1h no Problem !
I have already tried everything on the graphics settings page, by everything I mean everything - without success. Still crashes every 10-15min
Open LocalPrefs (Located in your Documents and Diablo IV). Make sure that these commands are set to “0” :
ResolutionScaling “0”
DLSS “0”
DLSSG “0”
FSR “0”
FSR2 “0”
XeSS “0”
I haven’t tried that yet. I will do so and give feedback here. Thanks for your input
Why not just turn it off ingame? It literally does the same thing
Unfortunately, I have to say that the crashes are exactly the same as before
Okay, so i have a little bit of an update on my end.
After suffering from crashes resulting in Fenrir Errors the entire day, i’ve been trying out a few things and finally seem to have found a fix that worked for me.
Just per information, I use:
4070 TI Nvidia GPU.
13900k I9 Intel processor.
32GB Ram.
My fix: (So far, 3-4 hours in)
-
I went to windows defender and manually allowed Diablo 4.exe into it’s selection of allowed apps to run. (Doubt this works, but did it anyway)
-
I installed / repaired Microsoft C++ Redistributable, if you already have it, you can download it from their website for your appropriate system and when you open it, it will ask you to either uninstall or repair, just click repair, let it run, finish, restart your PC.
-
Finally, i re-installed the game entirely on a different Drive. I used to have it on my secondary SSD drive which i usually install games on. I have now installed it on my main drive where windows was installed.
Now one small point with this. I started playing the game during the download, when it was about 60% in and the bar turned green. You should have about 30-35 GB left to download at this point, likely to do with the High-resolution items you can opt in to download when you initially start the installment of the game. So i am probably lacking this data so far during my play.
I also got a prompt from my PC internet access that requested me to allow the game access to my connection, which i ofcourse agreed to. When i downloaded the game before the new season came out, i did not get this.
Should anyone else try this out, let me know curious to see if it is just a coincidence or if more people are helped by this.
PS.
My current ingame settings:
V-sync: Off
Max:foreground Fps: 100 (Mine can handle 144, but this game runs fine enough for me on 100, saves stressing my CPU)
