this game stutters in main menu, in loading screens and ofc in game. it takes 10 seconds to open inventory WTF!? this is worst performance iv ever seen! total trash. i regret bying this BS

Well diablo is the only game that has problems for me. in season 1 game run smooth and now its just stuttering, freezing and crashing. seems to use all of the RAM to. well uninnstalled and downloading path of exile now.

The game loads everyones inventory when you encounter them on the same shard. If you attempt to open your inventory, or anything else for that matter, upon encountering other people, you will either freeze for a few seconds or completely crash…depending on your PC of course.
I suggest you refrain from opening anything for a few seconds after encountering people. If you have a stutter in frame rate or lag, it may be a sign of encountering people so dont be tempted to open anything until a few seconds after it stops.

I am not experiencing anything like that at all. My pc is ryzen 5 3600,16gb 3600mhz gskill ram, 1080ti (ancient!) gtx mobo is rog x something gaming…

This is not a general discussion thread. I strongly advice you post on technical issues forum or open a ticket… Or both.
As a start I’d begin with turning antivirus off for a bit, open task manager, head over to startup processes and disable everything that is not a critical task (for instance you don’t want to turn off the startup of a program that fiddles with your fans within OS).
Close all unnecessary programs when opening Diablo 4. Softwares are rarely isolated and will often interact and interfere with one another.
Check your settings in game and push everything to the lowest. EVERYTHING. Then start raising them one by one until you find what’s sucking the life out of your pc.
If that doesn’t help, keep all settings to rock bottom and open nvidia control panel. Lower all settings to the lowest possible and one by one eliminate all possibilities.
If you’re using the stupid nvidia experience software thing that automatically adjusts the settings of each game for you - turn it off for Diablo 4, it’s absolute garbage.
Run a diagnostics software to check what temperature your pc runs at on idle. Then monitor temperatures when launching the game.
Check if all your drivers are up to date.
If you know how to - update your bios. If you are not confident enough to do it by yourself, post your motherboard model and we can give you a detailed step by step guide here on the forums.

Thanks for the help! Im gona do fresh innstall today and gona reinstall GPU drivers. Windows update might had cause truobles there. Bios update im gona do as last resort. I destroyd my old board whit failed bios update.
its not his PC! This is happening to many many ppl. I do have an above recommended setup Gaming PC and i am in the same situation as him. Game is unplayable! Freeze freeze crush crush

I often experience similar issues! They need to change the parameters so it is laptop friendly so people can play it at the hotel etc! Just dumb making it not laptop friendly!!!

Это что за патч такой? Я Купил игру перед началом 3 сезона. Играл весь третий сезон. Игра вылитала только в Киовашаде. Я старался туда не телепортироваться. Начался 4 сезон. Игра нормально запускалась. Но когда скачал патч 1.4.0.53695 игра просто начала вылетаь. Я обновил видеодрайвер и игра перестала запускаться!!! Снизил настройки графики (хотя до этого пол года играл на них), игра запустилась и все равно продолжает вылетать. Вот код ошибки 004DD578-6B4E-467F-99F9-599BE611EAD6. Сломали игру. Очень жаль. В этом сезоне играть не буду. Уже перехотелось.

Ok so, i did fresh install and now game is running just fine 
didnt even reinstall drivers. Something just went wrong during first install/download. So if anyone els have this problem, try reinstall. I was angry AF when i made this thread 
A quick google would tell you this is indeed an occurring issue since way back.

I still have this issue and I installed it anew yesterday, tried the font/mouse trick but that didnt help. Did you install with or without the HD-patch? I didn’t.

Same here at my side, have a same issue since S3… freezing when interacting with any UI, like inv, menu, map etc… In season 4 its start in to crash just when click anything in first login menu
Have diff GPU in both cases. Kinda sad…

I am experiencing complete freezing in the menu every time I open the game. This game always ran beautifully on my 6 month old gaming laptop. I uninstalled a while back, and just reinstalled so I could try this new season. Now the game won’t run! Something is broken.

Same here, constant freezing when changing locations. Blackscreen and disconnects when leaving pit/dungeons. Inventory cant be seen for 5-10 seconds after switching locations. Freezing when entering game. This game has never been like this until this season.

It’s NOT your PC; happened right after the patch went live. Extremely unreliable connection to the server. I’ll probably do a fresh install as well today.
My machine is a Ryzen 7, RTX4070, 16GB Ram and stable internet. Had no issues before the patch went live.

Hi, I have a rtx 7900xt with 3d amd chip and all ok so far. All amd build i suppose so game is running all mighty fine.
Tried WT 3 nightmare dungeons - no crashes or freezes!
Whenever I teleport back to a town and back in the open world - crashes and freezes constantly!
