1 thing to consider: there are thousands of different pc hardware variations out there, instead of ranting about how bad the game is…try submitting a report with your computer stats, perhaps even a dxdiag file and explain your problem?
My game is running smoothly, never have any lag. This has not always been the case for every game I own tho…but Blizzard and my computer seems to be a good match
They know the patch is bad; Blizzard is aware according to Diablo community manager Adam ‘PezRadar’ Fletcher (pcgamesn).
It’s not the players responsibility to test the game for the developers; the right move is to roll back the patch, considering how many players can’t play the game atm. This is not the players fault.

Thought I would also add my experience to this discussion in a hope blizzard will see that there is an issue. For me everything was going ok in relation to performance and connectivity until one of the latest patches 1.4.0a, now I get huge freezing times in the character select screen and during gameplay. It disconnects almost every time when I use a town portal. It has become unplayable, very irritating, as I also just purchased the season pass.

same problems since the release.
This game is pretty much unplayable. I’m running a 4090 RTX, I7 3700K with 32g of DDR5 ram. I have a consistent Internet connection of 1 gig. I’ve had trouble with stutter, freezing, and disconnecting since last season. Unable to find a solid fix. All other games play just fine on my rig

Same here as well.
Playing on a gaming laptop with wifi extender and all that stuff and it gets worse and worse by the season, lag spikes and not only, latency all over the place but not less than 100, Virgin media provider on 200mbp pack, season 1 no worries n 2 was manageable anything besides the fever of the new season and with time it passed but since season 3 a lot from the loading screen crashes and lag spikes and now maybe not as many crashes as season 3 but the lag and slow and latency is a nightmare, if it continues like this will doubt that ill play even half what i played season 3, as after ive farmed all didnt played for the 2nd half of the season, but now makes me quit even before any farm.
besides issues with the gold and gear and all that since last seasons should have kept an eye on this, even if you have bad luck on gear, summons and whatever doesn’t matter as much for the player, but if it continues like this to make the game more unplayable , players will stop playing as much and even at all until this s*** will get resolved.
also yeah to not forget about the invisible walls i cant get passed sometimes no matter if a helltine or no, so far only got that in open world

have you checked your temperatures? i had simiair issues back during season 2. my cpu temp and gpu temps were way too high, got them re thermal pasted and new water radiator. fixed the prob for me
Wouldn’t call it “unplayable” but god damn its absolutly not optimized. mini framedrops everytime a menu opens (is great when you fatfinger in a hectic situation), framedrops when stepping out of a portal for the first few seconds, lagspikes when changing regions and crashes and disconnects on loading screens.

I don’t get it, I have no problem running a helltide for 2 hours straight - the minute I enter a pit dungeon or NMD I lag out. I’m so confused. It’s not an internet issue because I’m able to continue talking on Discord and watching Youtube…

bs coding… yesh i got an old toaster pc… but this is the only crap game where takes 3 clicks and few secs to open an iventory or vendor tab. its just silly… in helltide i get alot less stutters with crossplay off for some reason… i belive its due to the fact that you do see less players comming and going so im not constantly loading as many iventorys… and that alone is such a /facepalm, why the heck would i need to load everyones iventory… why can i even play this game solo or pause the game if im playing solo… just meh after meh after meh…

Its not pc issue. I found that its overlays from various applications causing serious issue to the D4.
If using non steam version , shut down steam/gog/epic applications.
f using steam version, turn off overlay on all those apps!
This is actually serious issue for quite a few games!
It was hilarious how game was freezing because of those on top end pc’s.
I am playing on 3440x1440 ultra with hd textures very smooth not a single hiccup any more.
same here, now constant 270ms latency, this game going worst day by day…

how can this be a your PC issue when it worked fine until latest patch 5.2???
The game freezes or crashes (and you have to exit with CTRL+ALT+DEL) almost EVERY TIME you open an inventory menu, such as : character, skill points, paragon points, achievements, map, etc.
This issue is an urgent matter which need an urgent fix !
I assumed it was my old PC, even though the game loads quickly and otherwise performs well. But when I switched to GeForce Now I was surprised to see the same things happening. It feels as if the game is forcing these screens and their contents to use the pagefile. I cannot think of another game where the inventory and other UI panels consistently perform so much worse than the game action.
After patch 1.5.1 can’t play totall. PC: Ryzen 5, 64 gb ddr5, 2tb ssd, 4060 8gb – before playable very good on my hardware!

I try reinstal nvidia drivers and reinstall Diablo4.

I am Playing Diablo 4 Season 5, Don’t know what is Happening with the Frame Stutter’s running feels like you are hitting invisible walls. Not to mention any open world Hell Tides or the New Pit Dung or Inferno Waves.
It cannot be my System.
Specs: Ryzen 9 7950x 96GB duel Channel DDR5 Memory, Gigabyte RTX 3090, Gen 4 2TB NVME boot drive. 1000WATT PSU.
From I been hearing it’s an update that happened, It really makes the game unplayable yet Blizzard is promoting Pre Purchase Vessel of Hatred when the game is not Optimized. I tried multiple settings and DLAA with DLSS Off and on and Ultra to Low settings nothing is fixing it. Including some BattleNet settings. Mainly Play Windowed(Fullscreen) 3560x1440 144hz Monitor.
