I have not collected all altars of lilith on my main char but on my alt and main char togather, how will this work when transitioning to the new season? do i get to keep them all and the paragon extra paragon points ive gotten? this new season thing seems confusing to me
It bases your progress off your highest hero that you log in with as of the 18th.
So whichever has the most progress, the stat unlocks for altars are account wide. So unless you want to farm renown for the renown rewards , you don’t need to get them again. 
I thing that it works cumulative, i.e. if you log into the game after 18.7. with both of your characters renown/map/altars will be merged together and carried over to the Season.
No it doesn’t.
It will use the completion based on the character that logs in first.
So for maximum completion, log in with your highest renown character.
You need to log into your characters between the 18th and 20th (S1 starts the 20th) in order to transfer your Renown progress to season characters before the Season starts. After you do, your Altars of Lillith and Areas Discovered progression(that includes the whole map, not just the defualt 5 main citys) carries over to Seasonal Characters.
If you’ve done everything on one character, log into that one.
BUT if your renown and area discovered progression is split across several characters, log into all of them!
Allso the new mechanics for S1, will be removed when S1 ends and the character transfered to eternal realm. That means maligant hearts will be removed, and their spesific sockets will be converted into normal gem sockets.
