Hello everyone, I wanted to share some feedback regarding the summoner build.
I’ve reached almost level 90 as a Necromancer, and I’ve dedicated a lot of time to creating a strong minion build. I have focused on leveling up at least four glyphs that enhance minions to level 16 or higher. Additionally, I’ve taken all the minion bonus nodes and boosted the rare ones by over 100%. All my items are minions focused as well and maxed out legendary powers. As a result, my minions have high armor and enjoy an impressive 81.3% damage reduction. My fully upgraded skeletal warriors still hit for very low damage, golems hit for a little more but not much, I see sometimes 12000 or so, and skeletal mages (bone) deal roughly 16,000 damage before perishing after about 8 seconds of being alive. However, when compared to other builds, this damage output is quite underwhelming. I have also utilized the golem paragon board, and my pet improvement for skeletal mages, warriors, and golems exceeds 200%. Even with a Skeletal Priest 100% uptime with correct talents, they still die, with a Nightmare Dungeon of 41.
With my Bonespear build, I have achieved a 100% critical chance and can deal a million damage with the initial hit, followed by a secondary hit that is nearly as powerful, resulting in approximately 2 million damage per cast.
Based on my experience, I find the minions to be very ineffective. It seems that a necromancer class should excel in utilizing a focused minion build, but currently, it feels impossible to do so. The minions are in dire need of improvement, right now it’s much more worth sacrificing them and using a Bone spear build.
