Hi,
I don’t know if this is a bug, but I was in a dungeon killing mobs and suddenly Butcher boss spawned from the ground! I was max 25 all legendary items, but he was really really hard! Literally his mechanics were like in D3 being gripped, rammed etc. Anyway he killed me, but then he just vanished in the ground and didn’t spawn again!
Has anyone else experienced this?
I had the same, spawned once per playthrough
Hahaha wow! I killed it once with a mate, but we had to kite it forever! Took like 10mins! Was fun though! Good luck to the Hardcore players!!

Had him already twice on my mage but i was able to facetank him. (Ice barrier mage)
He drops special legendaries…
It’s a fun fight! Can’t wait for it in June!
My brother and I bugged him somehow where he wasn’t moving when we were like lvl 16. We were able to kill him, but it took forever even with him not moving. He is a beast, literally.
The Butcher spawned 4 times for me this weekend, in dungeons. I was playing sorcerer, with a legendary granting me 1 extra hydra (2 hydras at once), and I had found an item which granted me a protective shield whenever I initially attacked an elite or boss. I also had chosen ice armor as a skill, and had also found an item that granted me to be ‘unstoppable’ whenever I used ice armor… he never even scratched me.
All that spelled bad news for the poor Butcher as he died all 4 times, very quickly. He dropped a legendary item each time.
I got two butcher spawns, both in random dungeons on my barb lvl 25. First time it was a surprising element so I wasn’t ready, I thought he’s just some secondary dungeon boss so I fought him carelessly before realizing he’s too difficult and he killed me. On respawing when he didn’t appeared again I realized that he’s special boss.
Next time he appeared in another dungeon and this time I was ready, I pretty much tanked him head on. I ran out of potions near the end of fight but I had life regeneration stat on some of my gear so I had to kite him for few seconds while I recovered some of the health and then killed him.
I was also using the kick skill with vulnerable ailment, that helped outputing more damage. Overall it was a fun fight, can’t wait for more surprise bosses.
1win / 6 losses at lvl 44 … its really just annoying now… all in random dungeons … not a fan!
Other than this… its been great so far
YE have nothing to complain about spawn/hard boss just about the laggggggggggggggg , butcher about 10-15 % life and then comes the endless holly s**t laggg and after 1 min or so BOOOMM im dead after 10 min kiting … yes cross over platforms sucks , in towns have over 3000 latency since official start .Why in DIABLO`s name Bilzz did not make dedicatet serv for PC and Console … or at least script/configuer server

I’ve also had this in release version, 2 butchers… same game, both killed me.
I’ve run into him 3 times so far he butchered me twice, but I claimed victory the third time. It took a few minutes of kiting & he dropped a Legendary chest.
You can turn off cross platform in the social settings. You have to disable it before you log into your character though
Yeh it helps to disable it, then completely exit and restart diabo for it to work properly, can be laggy otherwise, like it’s trying to show players that don’t need to be shown.
He wears my Druid’s skins as decor, the bastard keeps killing me while I’m minding my own business… 
It is a feature not a bug. Just like the random Horde spanw that appear south of nowhere in a dungeon.
Faced him 3 times as a lightning wizz solo pre lv 40, could not even get him down to 95% hp.
I got butcher at lvl 10, lets just say I had to remake
1win 7 losses so far for me… not impress… I would be really ticked off if this happened to a hardcore character
lmao I got butcher at the start of game new record lvl 4
I met him tice sub 30 first time I runners away in a boss ding room and it despawned. 2nd time I killed it with some kiting and potion on a triple shout barb.
