why didt thous brainless dev put altar in pvp area alot of none pvp who like to not pvp anyone who call pve player dull SO WHAT pvp are for freaks who love kill people as i see it,
dont see the point in pvp if i whant pvp id join the military in real life, thinking of bench the game due to they made pvp stuff into acheivements for som who hate pvp not fair to us pve hate when they mix pve and pvp stick to make pvp games only and pve games that way people get to chose at one way, i hate diablo 4 it kill me as a fan for the game
Because developers like horror. Its best spot on hardcore to take care of players.
You need to have that thrill you might die with your character during this task.
diablo from 1 to 3 was never about pvp it was about killing demons undead and so on not players by put in pvp into a game like diablo 4 it will take fans away im appion they ruind the game totaly i will go back to single player games again becourse there are no game out there that meet my need in mmo otherwise they have kill the meaning of the game for somone like me so im gona stay away from blizzard product in the futur they dont look the players like me and they ruin games but it about money not the fan so im not gona recoment this game to people

Long dead fan of the Diablo franchise here 
I actually like the PVP. I loved it in D2 LOD. I like the possibility that someone will kill me in the game. Keeps me on edge and I miss the way it was in D2, where any random could just get annoyed and go hostile, or even do it for no reason.
I missed this hugely in D3. The games too passive.
Diablo 2 could be punishing, sometimes unfairly, but you could learn and adapt and I am glad there is a place in D4 where I can hang out farming and find something close to it.
I am not an aggressive player to others. Even now I only engage if they come at me or sometimes by accident. Or I just evade them and keep going.
But I love the diversity in gameplay it creates and also, the idea of being able to stomp someone’s brains in (in the game), if they are asking for it… and if I think I am up to it 
It isn’t like you lose anything of value anyway. In D2 you could lose gold, pots sometimes, and if were not careful, back in 1.09 you could even lose all the gear you were wearing… crazy times. That happened to people. Imagine their posts in the forums 
D4 PVP… is a nostalgia trip with no real risk, and a fantastic place to farm from LVL 10>60.
You can complete the seasonal crap in under 5 min.
If you get killed by a person then it is just like being killed by a monster. No penalty.
It really isn’t a big deal IMO.

as someone who hates pvp to the core, why not just not have it as a pvp area in tier1, so those of who dont want to pvp can go in there safely on the nice place level.
why the f. cant u be excited to get that altar knowing the many risks? i mean its a little challenge and the worst thing that can happen to you is death. SO WHAT? WHO ARE YOU???
small correction, D3 was ment to have pvp too, it just never happend as the devs did not put it on the priority list.
There is quite alot of D3 players that are sulky that their promised D3 pvp mode never happend.
For aprill fools they should make that every city is a PVP zone that would be fun for one day
