Hello, I come to show my discontent about the seasons and the rumors that exist. I don’t quite understand this thing about me having my main and not being able to progress with him in the season. That I am forced to create a new character and play again each season with a new one. Sorry, I’m a lvl 71 rogue, I don’t feel like creating a new one from 0 every season and accumulating 40 rogues or 4 rogues, 3 wizards, 3 barbarians… Is it really that difficult to be able to do the seasons with a main? I don’t see the point. I’m building a main character with the idea of being the main character in the WHOLE game. From the first moment to the end of the expansions and seasons, with some alter in between.

its optional its not a must.
im not even making one because the games state isn’t that amazing atm.
non seasonal charaters wil get new content just like seasonals it wont be the same but you’ll get new things to do ore atleast that what they said but i don’t believe ore trust anything they have been saying.

I think it’s great that it’s optional and that the eternal realm has content too. What I want is that with my main I can do all the content. Do not create random characters to make optional content and have 10 alters. If I want alters, I don’t want them to be because the season has ended and I don’t know what to do with that poor wretch at the end. If I want alters I create them and if I want, I enter the season with them and they progress and they return.
I hope we can complete all the battlepass levels on eternal, I won’t give up my eternals even if I play seasonal

that is the prolly the biggest question, what value will the battlepass offer if one is NOT going to do season lv1 character…
AS for op, this is how diablo is, they realy do not want you to play a non season character as it will basicly allways be behind the season characters.
And no, you wont collect 40 rogues, you have to delete 32 of them as we will never get more then 10 character slots. d3 has 16 character slots, and 28 seasons so far over the past 10 years, so deleting characters if you want to do 4 seasons per year is a must.
No need to collect toons anyway. I will Start a new character each season, have them go eternal after season ends, after 4 seasons you have one of each class. After that, play what you want and delete it after the season. No point in keeping a chat who’s class you already have.
I doubt we will be getting a skill tree and paragon board loadout saver, so build diversity would be the reason to have 2-3 characters of each class.
D3, PoE and now D4 have the worst seasonal designs I’ve ever seen. Old players of these games are used to this and it’s ok or even great for them, so I understand why blizz still wants such seasons (+ this is by far the easiest option for them because they just need to copy it from D3 and paste it into D4). But D4 is still quite a different game from the two mentioned above. It’s open world, has mmo elements, group play, pvp, etc, and ultimately has far more appeal than these two ever had combined.
Many players will not play seasons with this design. Some think that this kind of design is pointless, many will not have time to start from scratch every 3 months, many get attached to their character/characters in which they have invested hours days and months. Some just won’t want to. If nothing else, I hope that blizz will give those of us who won’t be playing these seasons a reason to keep playing in the ER.

I will play only one season for battlepass and dont like d3 seasons and lvling again my necro over and over again. Hope they copy seasons from bdo :3
I love a ladder reset on D2 and the race to 99 but I can’t see me doing them just based on having to do side quest and dungeons again for the renown the thought of having to do that makes my poo itch
Normally i would disagree with OP but now i do agree, but im surprised that true fans like me actually are backing up the seasons at this point.
Quit acting like you’re gonna lvl up another character to lvl 100 again, when you’re not even gonna have the power to even reach 100 on eternal.
We all know how delicate the lvling experience is currently, it’s absolutely shameful, and you guys think you are gonna do seasons and even reach lvl 100 haha? You’re gonna get so gigaburned out unless there is a hidden 500% xp buff for seasons, aswell as adressing the horrid rumors regarding renown.

Just for me to understand your perspective.
I love seasons and i have no problem with always starting a fresh character it’s the most interesting feature for me to play at season start when every1 is equal and starts new.
From my perspective i don’t really get why u want to invest so much time into one single character? I mean after u reach lvl 100 and did your best for echo of lilith or reaching Nightmare sigil 100 what do u want to do with your character? That’s around 200h of playtime and after that u can’t do anything with that character. Why do u want to keep playing that character?
If you want the game to just be a one and done: level 1 of each class and then just quit the game? Who is forcing you to play seasons?
