Stop Boosting LVL 1 - 50!

The game has been out for a little over 1 week now and the forums, Reddit and Discord are full of requests for character boosting from LVL 1 - 50 simply because people are too lazy to level by themselves!

I myself have played an SC char to 50 to get to know the game and then switched to HC since then.

Mage LVL 50 - NECRO LVL 50 - Barb LVL 40 - Rogue 46 (RIP) - Rogue LVL 25 - Druid LVL 25…

In HC it’s even more annoying, because when you die, your beloved character is completely gone!

The next thing is that some LVL 20s in T3 - T4 are running around in the events… totally unnecessary and we’re not even talking about all the “boosting services” on the internet where you pay real money for levels!

According to Blizzard this shouldn’t exist anymore and I hope that this will be prevented in the future!

It can’t be that people decide to play solo and the group players let 2 or 3 HC chars get to 50 every day because they’re just dying.

Then you can only play 1-2 characters per season if you don’t have the time or desire to gamble for about 20 hours at LVL 50.

So Blizzard, I hope there will be an adjustment, ideally also an LVL cap for the tier levels, which you don’t even get in there as a low level… (T3 only from 50)

It will be impossible to stop boosting. But I do agree. People who are boosted aren’t real gamers. They are the posers of the gaming world.

Boosting is a thing because at the moment the 1-50 experience is quite miserable.

No matter the class, no matter the spec, you are constantly starving on spenders and killing stuff takes ages even in T1.

And in seasons, where you’ll only have 3 months to do stuff, it will be even worse.

I personally don’t mind taking one hour per level, but please let me breeze through packs instead of taking half an hour to kill one.

Im done with this game. 50 levels means nothing anymore. They also get free loot all the time.

I mean Im solo player but just refunded. This is disgustingly insulting.

Let them get to level 50 in an hour sure. Naked. After that they have to grind gear for their boosted alts for 1 week. :joy:

Yes and 3 easy solutions for these problems.

  • Rebalance T1 and T2, they are not in correct ratios.
  • Make a new gem that boosts mana regen by X% when placed in a weapon.
  • Make all basic skills regen 5-9 mana on hit. (just like D3 had)

Sounds like you need to work on your builds and mechanics.

Vulnerable, burst damage, abilities that do extra damage on cc targets.

On my 3rd play through and to be fair to the game. On tier 2 I can blast through mobs by using the simple rule, proc a cc and or vulnerability, burst the target, rinse and repeat…

Boosting was a thing in Diablo 2 and Diablo 3, why are you upset that people get to level 50 quickly in a single player game? Just play the game, you can’t get boosted before you beat the campaign anyway.

I’m lvl80, I had absolutely no problem blasting through the campaign and I have absolutely no intention to do it again, my next char will get boosted to 50 and thank god.

What’s the problem for boosting?
Who boosts and who is boosted prevents you from playing?
Why you can just mind your own game and enjoy with your time?

If there was a “Pay to Win” shop I would be the first one who didn’t buy the game.
As long as there are people who boost…I do not see the problem.

I like to level alone, without any help, especially with classes I don’t know.
And I know there are people who boost. I don’t care and keep playing.

I don’t know what’s the easiest solution but something for spender regen should be really done in the 1-50 bracket (don’t know what happens next, still 46 and at beginning of Act 4, will take a while to get to T3).

Other people getting boosted doesn’t hurt you or your gameplay in any way.
Leveling up your 4th character isn’t as exciting as leveling up your first characer, and not everyone has 8-12 hours a day to play D4, so what’s the harm in skipping the tedious and getting to the fun. Boosting in Diablo games was always a thing.

Why would one care if player is boosted or not? I believe anyone can decide what they want to do with their time and play the game they see fit - if pushing high content is the goal, then why not? Not like it affects you or your gameplay in any way.

I think i know where this mindset of “boosting bad” comes from actually.

D4 looks like an MMO, it has all the superficial criteria for being one and so drew in people, who don’t fully understand, what Diablo actually is. So they sit there with their MMO mindset, fully ignorant of the fact, that the leveling process is really just irrelevant sidecontent.

Instead I honestly don’t know.

D3 is out for 10 years and boosting was a thing ever since. In seasons you can literally be boosted 1-70 in 30 mins max and no one cares because leveling is not the scope of the game.

Whiners gonna whine, as usual.

Nothing wrong with that xD

Check Ebay and several other sites for the prices of the boost.
Enabling boosting is enabling these garbage sites / services.

Boosting your friends is always a great time, and a nice reward for putting the time in on your first char. Once I reach level 100 with good gear I will gladly boost my friends alts on world tier 4 from 1-50 (under an hour from what I’ve heard)

How can you disable boosting without disabling the possibility to group with low level people?

Just curious.

What’s it to you if people get boosted ?
Leveling 1-50 is just a chore, the real game starts at T4.

Made an alt and we did it in about 10-20 runs from lvl 10
But was with my mates and we have been playing as a group
Will be longer now as they nerfed the dungeons so you can run around empty areas with nothing worth killing

Because solo players can’t play their alts to level 50 under one hour. Its disgustingly unfair. What the HELL do you drink and smoke that you don’t see the problem?
