When I teleport to town I randomly encounter a black screen. The HUD still appears however the rest is black. I can access the menu by pressing ESC. but I can only select Exit Diablo 4 nothing else works. This happened with the Vessel of Hatred patch

I randomly get black screen, too. The sound and gameplay goes on but screen goes black for no reason.
This game is the only doing that and it is quite frequent since DLC dropped.

I´ve got the same issue. Would be nice if we could submit a ticket with screenshots attached and/or disclosing a debug report. So far though i didnt manage to find a âsubmit ticketâ or a âsubmit bug reportâ button lmao

Had this issue twice today, after zoning out from a Riftwalker dungeon and just now after teleporting to Kyovashad following a nightmare dungeon with a friend

Yep, You teleport to a black screen, life and mana jars are empty. you can hear the sound in the background, but the only key that works is the escape key, then exit. I get it at least 20 times in my day binge today. It started with the update of the vessel of hatred. Blizzard please fix.

Yup, same thing happening to me. I only encountered this since the VoH expansion, but Iâve searched the forum and saw that this issue has been going on for some for months. At least we have lots of cosmetics to enjoy while our screen is black. Blizzard and their priorities I suppose.

After teleporting to Pits, there is a black screen, the GPU does not respond, the monitor goes to sleep, but the system is still working (!) - it responded to the button on the computer case and shut down. No BSOD.
This is the only entry in the logs:

According to Blizzard customer support, its restarting your computer and using LAN instead of WiFi

To be fair, if youâre playing an online game via wifi, youâre doing it wrong. A game like this you8 should always be playing via a wired connection purely from a stability standpoint.
To also be fair, blaming an obvious game bug on the internet connection is ridiculous.
Oh, every 5th teleport ends with a black screen but visible UI? Yeah, itâs your wifi, said no serious tech support person ever.

Also having the same issue. Never been a problem before. Now encountering it every 3rd or so teleport.

Yeah, I was hoping part of that âseveral stability fixesâ (or however it was worded) in the patch notes was addressing this, but it just happened to me again. That makes at least 5 times today. I wonât say every 3rd (for me) but at least 1 in 5.

same problem here. In general when teleporting there is a high chance for me to have to restart the game either due to this problem or due to disconnect errors. Tested so many things, nothing worked. I only have problems with d4, no other game has only the slightest problem on my pc. But yeah keep gaslighting to restart and use lan sure. RX 6600xt / ryzen 7 5700x3d / 32gb ram / m.2

itâs just happened again 
after booting my computer from cold because I turn mine off when Iâm not using it,
also not wireless connection because my router sits on my desk.
curious thing it could be that I noticed is everytime I teleport from a dungeon to a town, which is when it happens is a little message in the chat box saying something about Party voice chat, Iâve looked through the settings but canât find anything else about it.

Yep, Iâve been experiencing this and Iâm on LAN and have tried reatarting but it still happens. I also canât find any out of date drivers that could be causing this.

Same issue here. I do play on a wired connection(though we all know that isnât the reason). Hopefully blizzard will fix this instead of misdirecting the fault.

Glad to see this isnât just me. Iâm having the exact issue of teleporting from a dungeon to a town into a black screen but visible UI with the only key usable is esc. I have updated my drivers, reinstalled the game, and ensured the wired connection I have always used is still stable (thanks for the help Blizz)
