Same here. Happened four times today and I was only playing a couple of hours. I’m running on xbox so this is a cross platform issue.

Genuinely mind blowing this bug rendering the game practically UNPLAYABLE has been brought up for over a year now by countless individuals - and still wasn’t addressed before releasing an expansion priced the same as the broken base game.
In fact, it was addressed by a Blizzard employee on here in August 2023 - just with an condescending tone towards their paying customers who must all actually be wrong with their terrible internet connection:
A disconnect after a teleport means, that there is a connection problem to our servers. Some of you seem to be using Cellular connections, which are not supported. Wireless connections in general are prone to errors and Cellular connections are no exception.
It’d be best if you go through the steps in here, as it is a connection issue at its core.

I’m having this issue, but it only started after Vessel of Hatred came out. I"m on a wired connection to 1gig cable internet.

This BSOD has been happening to me since the expansion came out, I play without problems for an hour and then it happens after the loading screen.
Tonight it happened to me again but I captured it

This is one of a litany of ingame interaction freezes and whatnot.
Literally unplayable.

I play on both the PS5 and PS4 and I get the dead screen or lockup or crash at least 50% of the time when I teleport anywhere. This happened during season 2 and 3 , they seem to have fixed it, but since Season 5 it occurred less frequently, But now with VoH it is robbing me of enjoying the game. I don’t see anywhere that they have acknowledged this issue. It is happening on all platforms. Check reddit and posts all over the tech support forums.
WiFi v Wired: makes no difference. I paid for the expansion like a fool, and now jsut sit restarting the game most of the time. Sony must have sent in over 1000 error tickets from me alone.

I sent Blizzard Support an extremely extensive rundown last night detailing how countless people have been affected across the world by this for over a year.
I pointed out how their only suggested advice provided has been completely useless as it doesn’t apply / help a vast majority of those who reported this issue.
I have tried installing the game on both of my M2 NVMe SSDs (Windows 11 OS Drive is Gen 4 1TB, and Games Drive is Gen 5 2TB) + always use ethernet which provides a stable 500Mbps Up and Down - and absolutely nothing has changed.
The response I got within 4 hours? An email pointing me to a generic troubleshooting page, or if that doesn’t work, told to use the same forums I noted have been neglected for over a year in regards to this exact issue 
I have experienced around 100 black screens now in my 40 hours logged this past week, and this absolute non-existent level of post-sale customer support being provided by Blizzard for what is effectively a non-functional ~$120 ONLINE-ONLY LIVE SERVICE product should genuinely be considered illegal practice.

Quick question, does everyone with this issue have AMD GPU? Asking because for me this bug started appearing after I have swapped from RTX 3070ti to RX 5700 XT.

AMD 6700xt here and started having this problem with Vessel of Hatred. Had not experienced this before now.
First time happened today when going from level 1 of Pit to level 2. Played all day today with no issues and several pit runs, then this. Pit level 75.
I have nvidia and get the same problem, never had the problem before VoH update

Same problem here, using an AMD graphics card. The past 3 days it’s happened every single time I teleport back to town. Black screen, HuD visible but no interactions possible. Gotta force quit the game each time.
I have the same issue. I’m using an AMD Ryzen 5700X and an AMD Radeon 6600 GPU. I’ve noticed that when I set all the graphics settings in the game to low, there are significantly fewer black screens. Maybe this could help someone else too.

Same exact issue here. Black screen randomly when teleporting. Restarting Diablo 4 gets me going again, but then sometime later, a black screen will occur again. I have a Radeon card.
