Greetings all, perhaps some of you know what the difference is between a lightning damage boost and a shock? And which is better for a wizard using lightning skills?
If I happen to remember it right. Its Shocking skills for sorc. And they do lightning damage. So its two different categories. Other skills can do lightning dmg too.
similar question - crowd control and stun are the same?
No, stun is specific and crowd control covers a variety of effects, including stun.
wrong wording :)) I was actually wondering is stun considered as a crowd control
Yes it is.
So if you run a mix of element skills you want to fokus on the crowd control affix, but if you run only lightning damage skills, you want to fokus on stun affix rather then crowd control if you can.
(main reason to go away from Cc and into stun is on the lightning paragon board there is some nice damage to stun nodes, but not damage towards crowd controlled, so while they do the same thing, they are indeed seperated)
that totally confuses me tho.
becuase, when i have an item that does +5% lightning damage, and another that does 5% schock damage, only the schock damage does change the damage value in the tooltip of the skill, not the lightning one.
and, to add one thing on top, when i use the firebolt passive, which turns that into fire damage, die lightning-buffs apply, then its switched to fire and then firew buffs are applied ?
this realy needs to be better explained.
