Town portal crashing

Constantly crashing when casting town portal.
Just happened 3 times in 15 mins.
Happened 10+ times in last few days.

Exactly the same issue here.

Hiya, Major issue since last patch of diablo 4, upon leaving the pit and returning to town, the game just freezes and crashes, this happens on most teleports. Is there any known fix for this? Is Blizzard working on it? Many Thanks

Same issue here. I submitted a support ticket and Blizz gave me a canned response: update windows, update drivers, lower settings, if all that still fails then hire a local tech to repair the computer. They almost couldn’t have been less helpful.

That’s a joke someone really should challenge that with ofcom/watchdog action. Wander if we would get a response then?

Hundreds of players have been reporting crash/disconnect/freeze issues in the game to the point that it is almost unplayable 80% of the time. Many have just quit the game. No answear from Blizzard. I have been experiencing this since May 2024 and it gets worst and worst, depsite trying every solution offerred by other players (see in post below). I will probably just stop wasting my time if this does not get any better.

Diablo 4 is totally unplayble

Same here, constant freezing when changing locations. Blackscreen and disconnects when leaving pit/dungeons. Inventory cant be seen for 5-10 seconds after switching locations. Freezing when entering game. This game has never been like this until this season.

1.5.1 loading screen freeze and crash on the game

Hello everyone, after this latest patch 1.5.1 the game freezes on the loading screen or if by some miracle it makes me enter, as soon as I engage something the game crashes, I have everything updated, drivers etc, I have also analyzed and restored the game but nothing, does anyone know how to solve?

This is my case also. First it was crashing to highly populated places. It never crashes to a private instance travel, it does on return to the tree or kyovashad. Using less crowded places solves it. My guess its they thought less people here and reduced the number of instances open at the same time to save.
Since last patch Im crashing by simply walking. I ve tried many things and its frustating. Reinstalled twice, checked every update on system. No luck. Yesterday 75 mins play and 9 crashes.
No reply anywhere from Blizard.

Same issue, around every 2nd time when in the Pit after just killing boss I crash completely. Wow Blizz, fix this please. You made Potions cost the mats and I lose one every time I crash.

Same issue for me, it crashes 90% of the time when I use a town portal, being it just to the nearest town or opening general map and looking for a specific waypoint. I’m traveling by horse a lot, my poor guy is super tired, and I’m starting to be, too.

Exact same issue. 90% of the time, using any type portal to return from Pit, Nightmare dungeon and anytime from out in the field trying to town portal to salvage gear or whatnot, the game crashes and exits. This got significantly worse since latest patch, 1.5… whatever

Tried multiple searches for recommendations on how to fix. Reinstalled Diablo 4, changes multiple settings. Now regretting purchasing Vessel of Hatred if we’re never going to be able to get a fix for this.

I am experiencing the exact same issue, it started rougly 2 months ago, after a patch.
All is updated regarding drivers, so i believe it is something related so a change they have made, sincee i didn’t experience it earlier
