What did you do for 10 Years?

Damn… I logged in for 2 minutes and couldn’t do it. I have a LVL 100 Sorc a LVL 100 Rogue and i was hoping to start a Barbarian and I just cant do it. F$%!!

This game is such a disappointment I cant believe they are talking about D5. All this game has done for me is cement the fact that I will not be buying another Blizzard game.

I have physical copies of Diablo (the original) Diablo and Hellfire when they were sold in boxes with “Blizzard” proudly stamped in blue on the box. I have D2 boxed version / I have D3 collectors version along with the expansions. Also have all of the Starcraft collectors series boxes. I know i’m not the only one. No way…

I should of known better than to buy this when not only did they charge us $130 CA for the digital ultimate addition but they also expected people to shell out for the collectors edition box (No game included!!!). And yes alot of you did that. What a seedy company Activison \ Blizzard really is.

25% XP \Gold Experience upgrade? How about making the game interesting? How about unique fixes on the dropped yellow rares ( % damage to distant \ %damage to enemies close \ %damage to hunched enemies? So many affixes and nothing interesting. I play the game and find myself deleting the drops without even looking at them now as their is nothing interesting.

Uber Unique? I have a better chance of winning the lottery than I do getting a “Remnant of the Infinite” for my sorceress. For the time sunk into this game and the expectations are so bad (I don’t know how may pairs of pants I keep getting!!!)

And Yes i know its about the grind but when you grind you grind for something really cool to drop and something that you can use on your character to make it better than the rest. Not here.

Streamers have already maxed out on the game play and have killed Uber Lilith a million times over now. When D3 came out people complained that Diablo was too hard to kill so they made it easier. Speaking of Diablo where is he? Is this Lillith I? I guess we get Mephisto II and then Baal III in the expansions?

You had 10 years and several templates to make a “Fun” game. 10 Years … I know that when D3 came out it had its issues but nothing like this… Could you not have copied some of the things that worked in D2 \ D3 and built up on them for D4?

Cow Level? Where’s that? or what’s that? the new generation may be asking but it’s too late for them to experience a true Blizzard game. I enjoyed gathering mana potions and health potions… Unique builds and experimentation was fun and you cant even do that here. I have to delete my stash if i want to start a new character.

Build diversity where is that? a template where you can save your character and go back to it when you want to play it again. Item storage… Nope saturated with Malignant Hearts and Gems… Season 2 … Vampires? How many malignant stakes do you want me to collect? Maybe we can do a garlic run and collect 100 cloves each time that will be fun…

The list goes on. I know i’m just re-hashing what has already been said but gone are the days where companies made games that were fun. Gamers made games so that people could enjoy them and have fun.

POE2 is coming out (Yeah a comparison) but its head over heels better than what D4 ever will be and its free! The game is made by gamers for gamers. Its made by people who care about their product and want enthusiasts to enjoy the game.

I know now its just about the money and milking however much you can out of the loyal fan base just because of the name.

Blizzard Dev’s don’t even inhabitant these forums or reply to the posts. I know its not about the developers just about the corporate greed. Admit it this game needs more time in the oven its not like 10 years was enough!

Maybe in 5 years it might be good. Ooooh wait D5 is around the corner more of the “Perpetual Cash Grab” for Activision \ Blizzard… Hold your breath for a good game expectation in D4 not gonna happen.

My 2 cents…

You are right with everything you said.
People dont even visit the Forum anymore so dont get mad that nobody answers. Most people have moved on as there is nothing interesting anymore.
A few lost souls still play until the game is a total ghosttown. I uninstalled, I wont reinstall - I wont come back for S2 or S20, I wont buy the expansion with Mephisto and wont buy the second expansion with Diablo.

Blizz will milk this cow as long as possible even tho they realise already that its a complete disaster gaming vise and that players literally HATE it.

What a failure…

Beside everything else you said, that is totally right and I agree.

They said season 1 was already done before the game released, one lead designer said “sorry about season 1 bla bla bla” and yet season 2 is the exact same, instead of killing infected mobs now we will kill vampires.
I mean what a complete scam, literally they stole money from us…

Man, how many hours did you play??
Me personally after having two 100 lvl’s i will need a break for some time like in every other game played for so long.

Sheesh give the little indie developer a break!
After all this was the first game release for a lot of the staff involved!
Some of them might even have played a “video game” before!

Well said. This game has no soul. Blizzard has no soul. Not anymore. Just money harvesting conveyor.

remove the game, give refunds and sack the entire team. This is a disgrace of a game. I’ts a scam to influence people to buy when it’s a bare bone game.

I am exactly like you, have the same box sets and been playing these games for a very long time. I think it’s a different model. I like you are taking it from the perspective they are trying to make a good game so you stay like D1/D2 did… it was made to be really enjoyable… and it was. These games are made by marketing teams that want to maximize the time spent doing activities so you buy item mall and battle passes. If you look at from the lense of money making, it makes perfect since. We all see it for what it is, doesn’t hurt any less… but at least you’re coming to the same conclusion everyone is…

I suggest you, like I vote with our wallet. Do not buy a single thing and don’t play the game. This is a good video watch, sums it up too: Diablo 4 Somehow Got WORSE… And So Did Blizzard - YouTube

Totally agree.
I have been playing Diablo 1, 2 , 3 and their expansions and never had the boring sensation I’m experiencing with D4…
Also don’t understand why they haven’t implemented QOL things like loot filter, a mercenary who follows you and collects everything, templates with builds to be saved and recovered (for free) so on 1 character you can try easily different builds, more stash tabs, etc., etc., etc.

Have you been to the PoE forums? The PoE fans are trashing PoE2 like there’s no tomorrow.

So it is incorrect to say PoE2 is better than D4. According to Pathers PoE2 is rubbish.

Not sure what your sources are but they are highly questionable.

have you not got a game to play?

Yes, later. Now it’s beers and lunch.

Funny as I am on those forums and I see only hype. So please point out the trashing for us all.

That would require 9-15 months longer development time, shareholders prolly said no to any further development time.

So you are mad because game was not made for losers who can sink thousands of hours there.
You already played for 80+ hours with two level 100 characters but here you are on forums crying about how game is bad.
Normal people would be quite ok with 80 hours gametime and move on but its always some losers who think developers must provide game what can offer thousands of hours and where people can hide from real world for next 10 years.

I’d have to agree, sadly. I even thought at some point the problem was me, and that maybe I was playing this game wrong. I hit level 60 and wanted to reach level 100. I’d tried a bit of everything at this point, and the only way to really level up was nightmare dungeons.

I asked myself, what is the point of leveling up to 100 as everything is available from world tier 3 onwards. Unlike Paragon in D3, the D4 character leveling was slow and paragon points didn’t feel like meaningful milestones. (I like hard level caps, but this just felt a bit empty/pointless).

Then I asked what made D2 and D3 fun for me? and honestly, it was playing with others. D2 and D3 had the ability to create rooms and match you with others to play content, in D4 you’re your own source of matchmaking, and honestly, I don’t want to ask around towns or guilds looking for 2/3 people to start parties with every time I start the game. I have a busy life outside of this game and don’t want to start building friendships in online games, I just want to play it.

As a result, I’d played 99% of this game solo (excluding world bosses). I’ll reach level 100, then I’ll put it to bed.

I sadly expected Diablo 4 to be better than Diablo 2 and 3. I thought we’d get an exciting, well-made game with lots of things to do, great party content and bosses, exciting milestones and loot, great challenges in the world, secrets to find etc. But we didn’t even get matchmaking.

Stop saying from US
i bought for 100 euros and i did play during release and then when season 1 launched it is trash that is true i give you that but hours vs money i did get fair trade from blizzard side.
Next time you want to look for clue before you buy something
because it was known sever months before release that this is how it’s gonna be

This game was fun untill lvl 50 and this is what they showed before. Most people did think will have same fun after 50 lvl but all were wrong. That;s why people feel stealed and crashgrabed by blizzard. Nothing more to tell everyone know it now,

Not quite, I have vast experience with ARPG titles and I would say their main selling point is replayability.

It is very rare that I will pay as much as I did on this game and I did so because of my experience with primarily Diablo 3 which truly did feel like “Never short of things to do”, the promise they made in a Diablo 4 pre-release showcase.

I’d say I got around 60 hours of this game, that’s just an indicator of how I felt about the replayability of the game, which is practically zero.

I got scammed.
