On my previous characters I maxed out renown in all areas, yet when I create a new character this season they all only have the first two levels of renown complete?
I thought it was meant to transfer? Or is this ‘seasonal content’ cos if it is I’m gonna take a harrrrrrrrd pass.
I expected to farm it all back up. Was surprised I had anything completed, including Lilith statues. Was good I think, that some transfered, because it made the early game faster.
But yea, you going to have to do some quests.
It was definately a thing where it carried over onto other characters because who wants to farm that literally every single season? Is it broken?
The real question is: Who wants to farm at all? What for?
First run I made I wanted to farm for pvp. Got a few kills and it was lame. This time I don’t know. Farm to farm? Farm for Duriel to endless? Make highest endless.
The thing is I came here to roam the world. There I thought there’d be varying difficulties. I’d meet people and maybe we’d team up to do kill some monsters.
I didn’t come here to run instanced dungeons. I came here to meet randoms. Not to talk with them or best friend forever, just play a bit until we go our ways. That was my vision.
So what do then? No builds, or like a couple. Some gear but only high up. Not that I need gear cause the most fun thing is Helltides.
To me it doesn’t matter that I need to quest. And I hate quests. It’s that I don’t have a reason to play when the goal is Duriel into endless.
Wrong genre u might say? Diablo 2 wasn’t like this. Neither Diablo 1. Diablo 3 made endless. Why not play that then? In my opinion something has been lost. I don’t care about the loot like I did. Remember in D2 you was level 30 and dropped something that was actually pretty cool? Wouldn’t that be something, that you could always get some cool stuff no matter at what level you were or where you went? No… Gotta do nm90+ or Duriel. Everything you do before that is dogshit, just forget about it. It’s not even stepping stones because you just need to farm Helltides with low to mediocre speed and go to Legions and World bosses and you got to Duriel where you might get real items.
The curse is dropping something excellent with a low item level, making it worthless after all. Or just somewhat useful but not enough to be solid.
Anyway… I don’t think it’s broken, I think it’s a feature. What else you going to do but quest? Helltides into Duriel into endless. Ok, got it. Well, good luck. I think I’m out until the itemization of season 4. Might run some more on season 3 just for a lol here and there but idk if I can actually tank it. Maybe you can’t either, seeing the quests you already did that they make you do again to pretend there’s content where there’s none.
If you complete your renown on one character, you have lilith altars and your rewards: skill points, max obols and paragon points available to all your characters. Dungeons, side quests, strongholds reset for every new character. You dont need to do them its just gold.
It only only transfers the first two levels, so you have access to all hp potions and the bonus skill points.
The remaining 3 levels you need to unlock normaly in t3 and t4 by doing side quests, dungeons, activating minor tp gates and strongholds.
Difference between eternal and season is that in eternal you only get the gold rewards, in season you get the full deal.
Once you’ve farmed seasonal renown to max all important rewards (Skill points,Paragon, max obols etc) transfer and you get them automatically. You just don’t see the renown as unlocked. Unlocking them only provides gold.
In short, you only need to ever farm renown to max level once and you get all the rewards except gold forever.
No, like… I farmed that to level 3 on all areas so far and I do get the skillpoint from that.
I start with the first levels prefarmed but I had to farm it up to the next levels.
I don’t have obol capacity of a thousand or whatever it was. Or at least I don’t think so.
