Can’t play hearthstone on iPhone. Initiates 3GB download every time I open app …

It is happening on galaxys too.
And for me its 6 gig 3.1 for entering the game and 3more gig for high quality.
And im not new to hearthstone I play the game for over 7 years.
My other friend with with another galaxy phone has to update 61 or 68 mb every time he wants to start the game.
Please fix this anoying bug as soon as possible.

I dont want to download this amount till is cause any permanent acess to game.

Same exact thing happening on Oppo Reno 10x Zoom- usually i’d be able to switch from a game on pc to my phone when i need to step out the room but the download queues up and the game refuses to load, stuck in reconnecting screen.
Still having this issue, can’t find any response from Blizz anywhere. Even on US forum people have the same issue and no response. One person stated a complete reinstall fixed the issue for them but have not had a chance to test it yet
I have the exact same problem. Been downloading updates 3gb each time for a couple of days now.
I have the exact problem on my Galaxy S23 Ultra - Literally every time I open the game it starts downloading additional 2 or 3 GB - it’s ridiculous. I would have thought that they would fix this by now as it seems to be a common issue…
iPhone 13, iOS 17.5.1, same issue.
Submitted ticket and absolutely blanked by blizz support. Proforma response basically suggesting it’s a os problem. Closed the ticket without giving an option to respond….omg.

Bumping up - same problem here. It went away for a while but came back. Interestingly it was gone while I was traveling outside my home country and came back right when I returned.
Mine also resolved, but after freezing at 22% of downloading additional assets in a BG, the game froze, prompting me to force reset to get back into the game on time. Upon resetting the game to get back into the game, the dreaded 3.1GB reappeared.
It must be something to do with the asset download and data being dumped on a force close.
A full unistall and reinstall fixed this, but the latest update has caused it to re-emerge. Every time the game is opened, it requires an almost full download again. Trying a full reinstall again but this is ridiculous 
Update: Fresh reinstall has fixed it again but really shouldnt need to do this every time there is a patch
Yeah come on Blizzard. Please fix this.
Resetting the game every time it happens should not be the solution. It this issue happened a month or two ago as well. It shouldn’t be a recurring problem
Update: installed the 3.2GB patch again, worked fine for a few days.
Today, I played a tavern brawl and minimised briefly to check socials, switched back and BOOM 3.2GB needs to be downloaded again - wtf?
