Blizzard pls fix Conjurer's Calling

Ok so Khadgar Mage decks are getting out of hand. My opponent summoned khadgar and Mountain Giant by TURN 4. He destroyed Mountain Giant to get 2 Grave Horrors that doubled to end up with him having 4 Grave Horrors and Khadgar on the board. Its only turn 4. How do i deal with that? How is that fair?

Lack of high stat minions is supposed to be a mage’s weakness. They are supposed to rely on spells to deal dmg and to maintain board control. They have powerful ability minions rather than high stat minions. With this new expansion however, they have lost this weakness. How is this fair? I’ve lost against 5 Khadgar mages so far and only because of Conjurer’s saving them.

In my opinion, Power of Creation and Conjurer’s Calling should be straight up removed from the game or have their effects changed. They do not fit into the identity of mages and neither are they balanced, especially because of cards like Mountain Giant and Khadgar.

Am i the only one here who thinks so? Everyone on reddit was defending this stupid deck, telling me that mages have a low wr, when in reality they were and still are in the top 5 wr amongst all classes ever since the expansion came out. Only now have people begun to realize just how stupid the deck is and im seeing it become more and more popular as the days go by. I god damn despise this deck cuz its just so blatantly busted than cubelock that its just ridiculous. Other than Murlocs, i dont see any other deck being able to beat Khadgar mages once they figure out how to properly play the deck. Even murlocs are going to struggle cuz of all the cheap freeze spells that mages have. What was Blizzard thinking when giving mages cheap freeze spells, draw spells, AND board swarm potential?

(I’m currently at Rank 9 on the EU server)

Khadgar into Power of Creation requires 10 mana.
Khadgar into Molten Giant into Conjurer’s Calling requires at least 8 mana (under certain conditions) and all 3 cards in hand.

Generaly is a very strong combo like every other combo in game but it is an extremely slow combo. And in the current meta (if we can call it meta since its less than a week live) aggro decks are out of hand. It needs alot of luck and alot of great pilloting from Mage to survive until turn 8.
And since Jaina is out of the picture now, Mage has the least chances of surviving until late game comparing to all other classes.
Token druids, Rogues, Hunters looks at mages as a free kill atm.

I’m not saying that the deck isnt strong. If he puts down Khadgar>Molten Giant> Conjurer’s Calling on Molten Giant the opponent usually gets overwhelmed in 2-3 turns and eventually dies.
The combo relies on the 2 minion pool that can be created by Molten Giant. If you use conjure on Molten Giant it will either create 2 other giants or 2 X 7/8 taunt minions (or a combination of them). Add Khadgar in the picture and you get the idea. It snowballs you really fast.

But in order for mage to reach that point of snowballing his opponent, he needs to survive. And in the current aggro “meta” this seems impossible.

My suggestion to you is to not get frustrated by any deck currently in the game because its too early to get reliable data on how the game will be in a few weeks.

I started playing that kind of deck “Khadgar Mage” because i found it very fun. But i quickly realised that in the early game the deck is extremely week. So i kinda “destroyed” the deck and created a teched version of that deck.

I only put Khadgar, 2x Molten Giants, 2x Conjurer’s Calling, 2x Mechanical Whelps, and 2x Power of Creation and teched the rest of my deck with silencing minions, Polymorphs, AoE spells (for token druids), Weapon removals (for rogues and warriors), Mossy Horror (for token druids and paladins).
I’ve also put 2x Rotten Applebaum and Ziliax (it synergies extremly well with Mechanical Whelp) for some heal.

That way i managed to stand a very good chance towards the current aggro meta. Clearly the deck i created is garbage if you think how it works. But it works!! Only because the meta is consisted with the same aggro decks everyone is playing.

Except it wasnt turn 8. It was turn bloody 4. I have a screenshot of it.

I play khadgar mage it is rly broken if you know how to cheese with it xD The thing is that conjurers calling is a twincast so you basically got 4 of them in deck and you are able to use it on enemy minions aswell for those big magnetic mechs that started out with a 1 cost or 2 cost mech,
I have hardest time against warriors because they are stronger than any control class and does really well against aggro as they have cheap boardclear and cheap overpowered herocard so usually they ignore your combo with a brawl and 10 dmg to a minion…
aggro and token is rly easy you just need 10 cards, mountain giant and conjurers at round 6 for free win. I got rly interested to see how someone pulls the combo on round 4 considering khadgar is 2 mana, mountaingiant at minor is 3 mana and conjurers is 3 mana show us the screenshot

My guess is the dream, book of spectres turn 2 > giant 3 > kadgahar + coin + conjurers calling 4.
