I spectate a friend every night on the ladder, and every night there comes a point where I am suddenly unable to, although he has changed no settings and nor have I. I receive the message that he is closed or full, and I need to restart the game in order to rejoin his game. Is there a way to stop this happening? Is it a known bug? Thanks

I would just like to say I have the same issue. Both have latest version of the game, both have allowed spectating. I haven’t seen any solution to this. Plus, i looked through the bug report forum and saw a similar report from June, so the problem has been around for some time.
