Anyone plz help! I can’t connect to my Hearthstone account both on PC and my mobile. Hearthstone won’t connect when I launch it because of “Playful Sprites” error. Other regions still work properly. Besides, US technical forums takes too long to respond, and I can’t find any help. Try troubleshooting all possible steps but nothing works on America region. This has been happening since the latest DDoS attack on April 20th. After the latest maintenance notice from Blizzard CS on twitter but still not got fixed!

We have seen a few reports of players with various Vietnamese ISPs being unable to connect to most, if not all of our services. We are monitoring it but the core issue with these is typically the routing used by the ISP to get your data from you to us. For nearly all players experiencing this the issue can be confirmed by testing a VPN to change your routing from the ISP’s DNS service to that of the VPN host.
Now keep in mind we do not support VPN usage but if it works, you are ok to use it with any of our services except Diablo II: 2000 which will block any VPN connection.
We also then recommend reporting the issue to your ISP to help them with any potential investigation.

Thank you for your response. I’ll try talking with my ISP to see if anything could be done from our end. How would I best describe this problem to them? Is there a specific IP address I could tell them to check the routing to?
I have gotten this problem for like a week. Unfortunately I tried uninstalling Hearthstone and now I cannot install it back. The installation got stuck at “Downloading new files…”
us.battle.net does not load too. When using VPN, I can access us.battle.net but still cannot install the apps.
Suddenly everything returns to normal after the release of latest patch updated yesterday. Now I can connect to America Region just like before the crash. What did actually happen?

i think i had the same problem here in the EU, but its a mystery, my guess is it has something to do with the war in Ukraine.
