Game either crashes or has black screen

After the previous update in the first week of October i tried playing the game but it kept crashing. At the time i tried everything, updating my drivers, deleting cache folders, re-installing battle.net, re-installing hearthstone and nothing worked. I opened it again yesterday and it had another update. After the update i tried opening the game and it did start BUT it had a black screen even though i could see the cursor and the new card changes and i could also hear the sound of the game and the interaction of the mouse (that has happened before). I tried the two additional command line arguments (which have worked before) but they didn’t work. Now when i try to open the game it either crashes or has that black screen.

If you can hear the game running in the background but you just have a black screen it sounds like it might be a graphical issue. I assume though when you mentioned you tried updating your drivers that this included the drivers for your graphics card.

If that’s been done then we’ll need to take a closer look at your PC and you can do this by generating some system files for us. Once you have those created, copy them over into a website like Pastebin and post the link to it in your reply using the </> symbol.

The game has received a few patches recently and some updates so hopefully that has helped solve the issue. If not, try the steps on this guide.

Unfortunately the updates didn’t help neither did following the steps on that guide. Now it just has the black screen i described above AND it crashes after seconds.

Thanks once again for your follow up with the updated files.
We see various Hearthstone crashes due to DirectX 11 so you can check if there are any windows updates available, which could help you run the game slightly better.

Alternatively you can try to carry on playing in a different platform like a phone, or in a new PC as the game shares the same progress across PC and mobile.

Edit: I removed the information about the minimum requirements as, after further research, the used graphics chip you have does meet the minimum performance :slight_smile:
