Impossible to get in to carousel brawl?

Hi all,
Ever since the new brawl (Haunted carousel) went live, I have been trying to play it and do the 200g quest. But every time I have chosen a class and hit the button, the jackpot-spin-thingy starts (as normal), takes quite some time, and then I get the message
“There was an error starting your game. Please twait a few minutes and try again”.
Which I then do, only to get the same thing over and over.

Restarting the game does not help, waiting until the next day neither. At first I thought it might be a hickup on Blizzards side that would be fixed soon, but it seems other people have no troubles playing…

Edit: Other play modes seem to work fine…

Hi there DoubleDutchy

I am sorry to hear that you are having problems with starting the brawl, in this case please try to switch your hero portrait to a standard one, as it seems that using non standard one (especially those for 1000+ wins) can cause some problem.

If that won’t help, please try to fully reinstall the game.

Thanks for that info, solved my issue, would be nice if Blizzard bothered to inform about that.

it seems the new 1000+ portrait was the problem. Hope I can use those in other play modes though, otherwise they are pretty useless…
