Post update sound issue [PC]

Dear Sirs,

Experiencing a sound issue post the latest update. Both the music and in-game sound is terrible and cracks all the time (Dell Inspiron G3 laptop speakers, 0 external devices connected).

I have done all the possible troubleshooting incuding the update of the audio drivers and reinstallation the game.
Sound in other apps is fine.
Sound in browsers is fine.
HS sound on the phone is fine.

EDIT: Naturally I have checked turning on/off compatibility mode, launching with admin rights, etc.

EDIT2: Downloaded Starcraft II via Blizzard Launcher to test another Blizzard game and sound works fine. In HS - still broken.

Any potential fixes?

Sorry to hear about the sound issues. I can see you already tried many steps we recommend. Another thing that came to my mind is the recent Windows update, that is causing sound issues in various games. While we got many reports for WoW and Overwatch, I haven’t seen anything Hearthstone related.
