Elder Scrolls: Legends?

It’s no longer getting new content, though. But you can play it.

Slay the Spire

Depends on what you like about Hearthstone though. I love the RNG/Discover nonsense with decks like Yogg Mage and Thief Rouge. I also was a very big fan of the Dungeon Run style content, especially the most recent Dalaran Heist and Tombs of Terror with that cool Anomaly Mode was great.

If you like that sort of thing you might enjoy Slay the Spire as well. It’s only single player and the enemies have predetermined actions instead of playing cards which makes it IMO more boring. But the level customization makes more than up for it. Even without mods there is a custom mode with plenty of modifiers to make every run unique. And with mods there is a ton of content to try out and some tools even allow to add any card to your hand or deck, modify them, add passive effects, trigger events or fights, and more. It’s amazing. You can mess around with almost anything you can think of.

Depends where you play, on android are around 7 alternatives, all better

You seem to be more into numbers than names
7 alternatives, 10 cities, 15 countries, 25 grizzly bears.

What are the titles?

Besides, personally, I don’t see how anyone can dedicate himself to so many collectible card games at once. They take a long time to master, and even longer to build a collection.

What’s the point of playing 10 similar games to Hearthstone?
There’s no way to focus on one in particular.

  1. Yu-Gi-Oh Duel Links
  2. Magic The Gathering Arena
  3. Yu-Gi-Oh Cross Duels
  4. Legends Of Runnetera
  5. Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel
  6. Shadowverse CCG
  7. GWENT: The Witcher Card Game
  8. Hero Realms

Also on pc on steam are some nice Yu-Gi-Oh free games and a few other tcg’s, in the current state of Hearthstone, all of them are a better alternative and yes i play all of them except hero realms.

But how can you play them all simultaneously? That means that you barely have a collection in any of them.

It’s like taking up boxing, fencing, horseback riding, swimming, tennis and vying for the chess championship all together. There’s not enough time in the day to hone your skills at all of these let alone becoming proficient at one.

Hey, if he enjoys it, what else matters?

The Elderscrools Legend.
Legend of Runeterra ← Which is actually quite good compared to this dumpster on fire.
Slay the spire and Magic the gathering are nice.

And I know there is a card game inspired by Witcher , something like Gwent or something, but I heard it’s in the same un-inspired stated like HS is.

I’m just busting his chops. He has nothing but bad things to say about Hearthstone, yet he continues to stick around. He must like the game more than he admits to.

Elder Scrolls:Legends is the only game I’ve considered as an alternative to Hearthstone. I’ve played it a fair amount. Though now that I’m so into Hearthstone, I’m not getting into Legends again. So many sets I’ve missed out on, it’s intimidating.

I imagine that’s how returning players to Hearthstone feel after not having played for several years.

I find it less approachable and graphically busier than Hearthsone’s simple user interface, and I don’t care for all those extraneous elements flying around the board.
Shadowverse I’ve considered too, but the art style is a complete turn off.

Which goes back to my original point: when it comes to infinitely expandable games like Hearthstone, it’s better to stick to one you love the most. If you split your attention among many titles that scratch the same itch, you won’t progress anywhere.

I’d rather be an average Hearthstone player with a sizable collection of cards than a novice at five similar games and meager collections in all.

And what good things shall we say? The fact that is bugged to hell and back? The unbalanced decks? The paywalls they are keep adding? I do like the game to, but that doesn’t meam I’m still supporting the game or company… I sold my big acount after 17 years of wow, more than 10 on starcraft, the company just don’t deserve support anymore. Im juat playng a game or two when my other tcg’s are upgrading, also is stay to see how much ruin will they bring, and how worse will be.

But the problems you’re having with Hearthstone are the same as those other CCGs.
What sort of continuously updated game will grant you simple access to new content?

Is there any incentive for a company to develop new content without profiting from it? Do writers publish their novels for free?

Do you just walk into a grocery store, take anything you want and leave without paying?
Is there anything really free in this world but the air we breathe?
I fail to understand this.

You need to spend either time or money to obtain that content. As I’ve already said, time and money are equal.

It just depends on what you value more.

laughs in Chinese air quality

I wouldn’t accept being paid 50 bucks for every intake of breath I make in the conditions where such things would be warranted.

They’ve added 1 recently for BGs but over the corse of the last 9 years I’ve been playing the game has got nothing but cheaper* and is unbelievably f2p friendly compared to where I started, having to get 5 WINS every day just to get Grom as my first and second legendary…not that I’m still salty or anything

I still have fun with the game, definitely because I can casually get everything I want.

The change to BGs is pretty scummy and I think Dogg put it best ā€œI never recommend HS to my friends, it’s a good game but it’s too much of a financial commitment. BGs was different, now it’s not so I can’t recommend that eitherā€.

*when they got rid of adventures the price went up but you got way more cards.

Wrong, i can show you right now 3 different games were you can even farm the premium curency and in the like of 1 weak have mid range gear skins and everything you want for free, i wonder how those games survive, oh yeah people support them cause they care

Dont forget you can’t buy solo adventures anymore with gold

You couldn’t do that anyway unless you had the first wing unlocked, which you got for free when it came out. Once that first wing was unlocked, the rest could be unlocked with gold. Otherwise you have to pay cash.

But farming takes time, and may not be fun for some, especially if you’re losing or have no understanding of the basic value of cards in a game.

But I’ll run with your example.
You say one week.
Okay, one week is 7 days multiplied by how many hours per day?
Take all these hours and multiply them by your hourly wages. How much money does that amount to?

I’ve lauched Shadowverse for the first time in years. I’m hit by a 10 GB update. What is it?

It’s time, and a fair amount of it not spent playing. Now, having passed that, I’m in the main menu, and I have all these cards but no understanding of their value and how to make them into a viable deck. It’s like the Core set in Hearthstone.

But hey, lucky me. I could buy Crystals in Shadowverse.

Crystals which are basically Runestones in Hearthstone. Those cost 20$ and give me more instant cards. Cards whose value I don’t understand because I haven’t been playing the game for years.

See what I mean? It’s hard to pursue several collectible card games and stay on top of everything that’s going on there. Nah, in fact it’s impossible.

Maybe it will help if I watch some streamers play Shadowverse. Maybe in a few hours I’ll have some knowledge of what makes a good Shadowverse deck. But it’s still time you spend to get something out a game you don’t understand.

I currently play around 4 tcg’s on android and 3 on pc, plus i have a huge colection of Yu-Gi-Oh and duel masters cards in real life, and still easy for me to keep the track, was like that since i first play them
