Of course it matters a lot when you know your opponent’s deck. Probably it matters more than knowing your own deck better than your opponent’s and i am not trolling. A simple example is against secret decks where you have to know what possible secrets may have played, depending on the opponent class, so you have to think of your move. This may be the only difference between players. Almost everyone using the same decks, but not everyone knows opponent’s deck so well as you said. This is actually the only part of the game that i feel you need to use your brain. But after that what else? Meta decks are few out there. It takes some time to know them and then you don’t need skills anymore. You already know how to play against them, but it depends on rng.
just came by to drop off some personal experience that I think is relevant here:
since around december of 2016 I’ve had the means and motivation to play meta decks. back then it was a great accomplishment for me to get past rank 19. then it was a great accomplishment to get to 15. then 10. then below 10. then 5. then I had a string of months in which I never missed rank 5 and this string only broke because I didn’t care enough about hearthstone to play more than 2 games or so per day.
if skill isn’t a relevant factor (among others) in this game, I trained my rng luck really well to have it consistently get better
Three years before the game was way different, i think you can’t compare this to now. From 2016 they have added tons of cards, and this is the reason why the game messed up. If i remember right, i stopped playing this game a bit after wild mode released, but i am not exactly sure, it’s been a long time to remember. After that i play this game a month now and i am really lost. I see cards destroying everything, combos dealing 40 damage in one turn and i really don’t know if i just missed a lot of stuff cause of inactivtivity or because the game is way different right now.
I’ve steadily improved my ranking while my deck limitations didn’t change. are you saying that doesn’t have anything to do with skill?
You mean that you have the same deck now that you had in 2016? And you still at the same rank?
I think you know what I meant. I’m not sure what you’re trying to say to me here.
Anyway, I just wanted to mention my personal experience in this thread.
I am not trying to troll or say something. I am just trying to understand. What you mean “deck limitations didn’t change”?
ever since around december 2016 I’ve been able to afford to consistently craft meta decks. it wasn’t like I could craft every card of the sets, but I’ve never run into the situation that I wanted to craft a deck and couldn’t find the dust for it.
so since I totally sucked at deckbuilding for the first couple of years, I played meta decks all the time. in early 2017 I could only dream of reaching rank 15.then I got to the point where it was easy and rank 10 posed a challenge. then I frequently mastered this challenge and managed to get to the single digits from time to time (which took me longer than the first step of improvement). then I consistently made it into the single digits and in the middle of 2018 it was normal to get to rank 5.
edit: I actually looked up my transaction history and it seems that I was able to craft stuff a bit earlier than dec 16, so my journey through the ranks was a bit longer than I thought. doesn’t change anything in my argument, it’s just a full disclosure kind of thing
Is bread supposed to reflect light like that?
It’s Brioche which does have a shiny exterior to it due the baking process used. Not really my preference for a burger bun though, a little too sweet for my tastes.
Personally I also think you’ve gone a bit overkill on the lettuce and not sure what cheese you’ve used but I prefer a crumbly cheddar or stilton…or even feta if the mood strikes. But as long as you’ve enjoyed it that’s the important thing, glad I could be of service
Have you tried gorgonzola on a burger? It’s surprisingly good.

Twas creamy cheddar along with chipotle mayo & pickles on a self-made patty.
And yes, it was indeed brioche, toasted with white pepper and salt on a pan. It also helps that I like the lettuce a lot, though makes it a bit difficult to take a bite out of the burger when a part of the lettuce is poking at my adam’s apple.
A lot more manageable when I went for seconds and got a topless variant though
Lastly, I should try out gorgonzola like Chicharito suggested. Think we still have a bit at home… Dunno how old it is though.
I appreciate the suggestion as I LOVE cheese (it’s my chocolate), gorgonzola is definitely a favourite, very similar to my favourite blue stilton
thread title needs to change.
I suggest “different cheese everywhere”
Is it really the point of the game to have over 1000 cards and everyone uses the same 30 cards deck on every class? This means that the game is unbalanced and only few of cards are viable or there are just so many noobs using the same decks found on internet. There is no skill to think which of 1000 cards you need to pick in order to m
Just to answer your thread title , if you refer to standard it mainly is 405 cards leaving standard and adding 135 due to the rotation.
And here is the result of your work. Is bloody tasty.
and if thats your work dont toast the upside side of your bum , but i guess it got noticed by the one making it
Most of them stall the game on purpose, when they realise they are about to lose. Really frustrating and annoying and really takes away the fun of the game.

All netdeckers have basicly stopped developing just after they got out of kindergarden, cos their only skill is copy-paste. Sorry, but that how it is
Not true in the slightest. Even net decks take skill to pilot, whether you created them or not, and very often there are varying skill levels depending on which net deck you play. Anyone who claims token druid, for example, needs very little skill to play clearly has no knowledge of the deck at all
