Any chance of fixing the gem shop?

Hello

I have seen other threads regarding gems not being purchasable (endless spinner) for a few months now, some even have staff comments and I was just wondering if anyone actively monitoring / trying to fix this?

My sales pitch would be like:

  • there is clearly some staff left for the game, there are balance patches occasionally
  • so maybe a small team could tackle the issue: 4 devs + 1 QA for two weeks would cost upwards of ~$30k + rollout costs? You know the numbers better and can do the ROI math more accurately. Within a month or two that cost could be recouped - and after that goes back to a nice small “passive revenue” stream
  • I am not asking for local currencies (albeit it would be nice), I think most players would put up with the currency conversion to USD / EUR as long as the shop is functional again
  • If the shop API cannot be made compatible for in-game use, perhaps the battle.net app’s shop is a simpler implementation? Under the HOTS section with the same offers, and then fetch “gem balances” from battle.net account in the game client

The community is still enjoying the game, despite its neglected status. Some gem only unlocks and especially boosters are very difficult to obtain without the ability to buy gems, so please consider allocating some resources to fix the issue.

It would also be a small W in the community’s eyes too, I reckon.

Thank you
