Blizz games crashes using ctrl alt f

Hey guys.

Just bought a new computer and really enjoying it so far.
However when I played hots the other day and pushed ctrl alt f to toggle the little information in the top left corner for fps and latency the game crashed immediately with a dx failure.
CDrawText_Dx9
Create vertex shader fail : Drawbasic.fx
Once you click ok a second error message pops up.
m_f initialize fail

If you try to restart the game it wont even startup but will crash on boot with the same error message and most other non blizzard games I’ve tried to start also fails after this…

I’m running a 2080Ti with an acer XV273K monitor that uses double dpi cables and I’m wondering if the failure has something to do with the setup.
I’ve also come across people saying it could be issues with geforce experience or DSR settings.
4k resolution with 144hz used for both windows and hots at the time of failure.

Any ideas?

Try re-installing DirectX, and see if that fixes this for you.

Hi Nenyasqi I tried but no luck so I decided to just cut my losses and did a clean windows reinstall. All good again thank you.
