Playing a promotion game, definitely winning (after 15min leading 4 lvl) while got disconnected (ISP error). Immediately switching to my phone hotspot (LTE data), but reconnect does not work! WTH?! Web works, ping works, account in Battle net app is connected. But in HOTS still “Reconnecting…” then studently “Dropped” info. Losing plat 4 promotion, about 800 points and having leaver status. Is this for real? In like 3 min before the win… How does the reconnect not work?!
The reconnect system has always been faulty as far as I can remember
You often get dropped due to how long it takes sometimes
I feel that the only way to really fix it would be to remake the whole game on an engine that is not the StarCraft 2 Engine
And that’s a hard task almost no one is willing to do especially right now
But why is it counted as lost game, when my ally won even with AI in last few minutes. I can see that in their profiles and we were so much ahead…
Games you fail reconnecting to before the end are treated as losses to you regardless of the actual result
You are also DENIED any Gold of Experience rewards you would have gotten from that
This is just how the system in this game works
